So fat kids being out doors and engaging in healthy activities like hiking etc is bad? The whole purpose of scouting as started by Lord Baden-Powell was to promote good health and well being in youth. “Physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight” Does this ring a bell with BSA execs?
how bout we let them try and stop sheltering them - maybe if a fat kid met his problems head on, he'd understand them and maybe grasp the concept that discipline starts at the table too

How do you suppose the fat kids are transported the first 4 miles?
The BMI they are using is over 40. That’s unquestionably overweight.
For a 5-5 kid, that is over 240 pounds.
The kids are given four years to prepare to get their BMI to under 40. Do a google search of a bmi of 40 and you will see they are being fair.
Perhaps the Scouts dropping their standards in the first place with regards to overweight kids is what ultimately led to them allowing gays.
Once you drop your standards in any area, it has a snowball effect.
The title needs to be changed to Morbidly Obese, not just obese.

No doubt the modern Boy Scouts would make an exception for any obese scouts who agreed to arrive dressed in women’s underwear.
This is done because obese boys are at risk because of the strain on their system when hiking rather rough terrain. It is also difficult to bring them out when they can’t complete a trail. It has nothing to do with the homo crap.
