Militants assassinated a well-known supporter of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Lebanon early on Wednesday, security sources said, the latest sign of Syria's civil war spreading to its smaller neighbor.

I’d support the union of Lebanon and Syria, provided the unified country were named Lebanon, and the name Syria relegated to the dustbin of history. Meanwhile, I’d prefer the continued separate existences, with Hizbollah exterminated in both places.
