Judge says woman violated position of trust
CINCINNATI A Hamilton County poll worker who was found to have voted repeatedly for family members will go to prison.
Melowese Richardson was sentenced to five years in prison for voting fraud on Wednesday. She worked as a poll worker for 14 years.
Richardson said she voted for her sister several times. Her sister has been in a coma since 2003, Richardson said.
Judge Robert Ruehlman said Richardson violated a position of trust and is a criminal, noting she is supposed to be a guardian of free elections.
Ruehlman told Richardson that President Barack Obama would be appalled by her conduct if he knew what she did.
WLWT News 5's John London will have more on this story later today.
I doubt 0bama would be appalled, but good that she’s going to prison.
Will she actually have to serve it?
..she'll have a pardon within months
Ubangi for "Affican Princess"
Yeah. I bet.
Will he pardon her?
no wonder libs don’t want voter ID laws!
I thought that Voter ID is completely unnecessary, as there’s no such thing as voter fraud.
What a shock!
(That it exists, or that they caught somebody?)
If she has any money someone from Ohio needs to sue her for violating their right to vote.
Melowese? That some kinda Swedish or Welsh name ????
She’s just one of the dopes dumb enough to get caught.
How many somewhat smarter ones are out there getting away with vote fraud year after year?
Ruehlman told Richardson that President Barack Obama would be appalled by her conduct if he knew what she did.
Yeah. I bet.
Will he pardon her?
It is what community organizers DO. Teach the rest of the little marxists how to cheat. To them all is fair where communism is at stake.
And the republicans just stare with that same old dopey look and do zip, zero, nada.
no doubt. Let me climb up on my soapbox for a minute.
After the 2012 elections, I read with amusement the posts by FReepers: "Fraud!", "We were robbed!", and so on. Sez me, fraud certainly exists, but Romney lost by a few million votes. No way fraud cost him the election.
Then I started reading about polling places in PA and OH. Places that went unanimously for Obama - 20-odd thousand votes in some cases. I said, "Hmm. Maybe these FReepers SHOULDN'T get fitted for tinfoil hats, after all." Unanimity is NOT a hallmark of Americanism. Certainly, out of 20,000 people, there would be one conservative. One person who goofed and pulled the wrong lever. One fool who thought that it would be funny to vote Communist. A clean sweep - frankly for any candidate - is really suspect.
Now, Voter ID is being discussed in my state. Predictably, Dems are against it. I'm for it, it's a good thing in the long term - but - NC has pretty much been a dead heat in the past two presidential elections. I see the following happening in 2016 if Voter ID is enacted:
1) NC stays a dead heat. I see this as a bad thing because it means that Dems have made serious inroads here.
2) NC goes back to being about 55-45. I also see this as a bad thing, because it means that my vote for at least the past couple of elections has been completely meaningless and nullified by fraud.
/end rant
The verdict must be a mistake because Liberals have assured me that there is no voter fraud.
Democrat refrain has been that there is no need for voter ID because fraud is insignificant. I find it to be significant that all, All, ALL fraud voting has been by the same party affiliates that say there is no such thing.
Interesting, no?
If photo ID can’t be required for voting because that’s racist, why isn’t it just as racist to require one for buying a gun?
