LAKE MARY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) - FOX 35's Valerie Boey had an opportunity to interview one of the four alternate jurors in the George Zimmerman murder trial.
"I supported the verdict," said Juror E54. "I agree with it."
As a condition of the interview, E54 asked that we not reveal his face or use his name.
He expressed disappointment that he was not one of the six people who ultimately had a chance to discuss all of the evidence in the case and decide on a verdict. Zimmerman was acquitted of second-degree murder in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
"I think the things that I focused on when I was doing my own deliberation was the non-emergency phone call. I did pick up on some things out of Rachel Jeantel's testimony, Trayvon Martin's phone records or her phone records and when they were talking," he said.
Jeantel was the last person to talk to Martin before the shooting.
E54 also said he relied heavily on those residents at the Sanford gated community who testified that they heard screaming and activity on the night of the shooting.

I was an alternate in a murder trial, and I had to sit through the whole thing, except the verdict. We figured out who the two alternates were, but weren’t officially told until the trial was over.
We acquitted the guy in less than one hour. The prosecution had little evidence and did not prove its case. The Zimmerman prosecutors had less evidence IMHO.
The shooter and the dead man were both black. I guess the white jury of 12 must have all been racist.......
E54 seems to have a good eye and ear for detail, and a calm, logical analysis of the evidence. For example, in the interview he points out that the color of the jacket of the man on the bottom in the struggle identifies that man as Zimmerman. E54’s description and analysis of the two men’s movements is also concise and spot on.
Zimmerman never sought a confrontation. Martin did.
E54 said that he would have voted NG on three things:
1] Injuries to Zimmermans head
2] The 911 Call
3] Rachel Jeantels testimony saying that Trayvon had made it home to his fathers house and then obviously came back.
He said that point #3 was also picked up on by the other jurors and factored into their NG verdicts as well.
It’s funny how Racial J is making the rounds claiming that no one on the jury believed her.
She is wrong. They did believe her — on that point. Trayvon made it home to his daddy’s house and then came back.
Thank You, Racial J, for that little slip of the tongue.
Where does this report come off using he and him to referant the juror? There were no hims on the jury.

Interesting...
THis man was not on the jury that decided the verdict...
he was an alternative juror..
he sat through all the trail listening to all the witnesses the evidence such as it was...
but he didnt go into the jury room with the others...
Didn’t notice it said alternate. Ooops
“I think both were responsible for the situation they had gotten themselves into,” she told Cooper. “I think they both could have walked away”
That’s the one thing about hindsight, it’s usually 20/20.
He was the alternate juror who sat through the entire trial, testimony, and closing arguments. But he didn’t take part in the deliberations.
See my oops in post 12
How did he not know he was an alternate when the whole world seemed to know there were only 6 FEMALE jurors?
