Why Did Facebook Block Kirk Cameron’s New Movie?
Fox News Radio ^ | July 18, 2013 | Todd Starnes

It’s something of a social networking mystery.

Why did Facebook block Kirk Cameron’s upcoming faith-based movie, “Unstoppable”?

Cameron announced on his fan page Thursday that Facebook had blocked fans from posting any links to the website promoting his film because the content was labeled “abusive and unsafe.”

“We have been officially shut down by Facebook and unable to get any response from them,” Cameron wrote on his personal Facebook fan page. The film was made in partnership with Liberty University, the self-proclaimed largest Christian university in the world.

After Cameron alerted more than 500,000 Facebook fans of his predicament, the social networking site removed the block – without any explanation.

Looks like Facebook has allowed people to share the link to Kirk's new film, Unstoppable -- http://unstoppablethemovie.com/ -- again. I did see that YouTube had removed the film trailer a few times, but it's back online -- again.

It will work against Facebook’s intentions.

Blocking it probably will give it more hype than it previously received. I know I had never heard of it until now.

I always had respect for Kirk Cameron for “coming out” as a christian after being a teen idol ion all the magazines for so many years

It probably ruined his chances for many things in Hollywood, but he still maintained his faith

I will go see this if it comes around here

I’ll go out on a limb and say it embraces traditional values that offend the gay community in some respect.

Why? They despise Christianity, freedom, liberty, and lots of other cool stuff.

Dunno but, from my perspective several of the Christians. Movies over the past several years have been excellent.

They are high quality scripting with a depth that gives one pause and introspective thought.

I liked his last couple of movies and loom forward to this one as well.

That’s a great film. I like Facing The Giants as well, a lot.

I am not sure what is going on but they are saying that YouTube blocked the movie premier which is a lie because I went to the YouTube site and put in the movie and it says that it was removed by USER.....Plus Facebook says that the page brought in spam. It could be true. Perhaps Kirk needs to redo the page and start over. Facebook does not hate Christians. I went to Facebook and put in Christians and hundreds of pages come up....even a Christians for Michele Bachmann page. I put in Jesus and they have a bunch of Jesus is love pages. Some articles are saying that Kirk is lying to get attention. The whole thing sounds crazy. Kirk should just make another page but do it right this time.

There was a great movie last year that I saw about a patriot in the war who passed away, but the town wanted Christmas and fought for it. It was a great movie that I enjoyed. I can’t remember the name but it was good....lol.

An average Christian Movie, but if you want to see a better film then Fireproof then see Courageous. It is 100 percent better than Fireproof where the acting is subpar.
