'Bash mobs' sweep through Southern California
LA Times ^ | 7-19-13 | Ari Bloomekatz

Organized "bash mob" crime rampages of roving groups attacking innocent people and businesses have been striking cities around the United States. Law enforcement agencies in Southern California have reported few similar problems -- until now.

In the last several days, there have been several reports of such group crime waves in South L.A., Hollywood, San Bernardino and Victorville. Long Beach police are bracing for another one Friday.

These so-called bash mobs of "flash mob" crime waves are organized through social media and have been a problem in Chicago, Philadelphia and Washington. In April, 28 Chicago youths were arrested on suspicion of attacking pedestrians along the city's famed Magnificent Mile. Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn signed legislation in May enacting stiffer penalties for people who text or use social media to organize mob attacks.

Long Beach police warned in a statement that participants could face severe penalties.

"The mere participation in such an event can result in felony charges including conspiracy, and are punishable by imprisonment in the state prison," according to the statement.

Police said they feared bash mob organizers planned to hit Long Beach at 2 p.m.

Most of LA is quiet, its a big place. Just avoid certain areas where certain youths congregate. The Mexican areas are fine, ‘youths’ know what will happen if they play around there.

Why don’t they call them what they really are?
Marauding blacks looking for white/Asian/Hispanic victims to beat and rob.

Hopefully, someone will organize an ambush one of these days.

"Bash Mobs" is just a handy cover for the fact that it's time to get out there and steal a new HD widescreen TV to get ready for the upcoming NFL season.

Under Obozo food stamps and phones are free.. but you gotta get your own widescreen.

These kids know the threats of jail and prison are a lie.

They are letting dangerous felons out just to ease overcrowding.

A sensible thing to do is pull out of the cities and create a mile wide DMZ and let the ferals eat each other.

Turning off the odumbo phones might be a good place to start.

“Turning off” odumbo himself would be even better.

Is 2016 here yet? The most depised and treasonous president in U. S. history ever.

Too good to just sit there in Times comments.

Indeed. It's the most concise indictment of this mess I have seen and will post it on other boards, giving this poster the recognition he deserves.

I have no idea what it is. A few years ago, I was searching for Southern California images and I found this one. I liked it, so I added it to my SoCal image collection. :)

‘A few years ago_______’

Oh - okay.
The Conejo Grade fire was part of the fires that swept all the way to the Pacific Ocean (generally 10 miles from the Conejo Grade, which is on the 101 Ventura Freeway), back this year in early June, was it?
That fire also went ‘over’the grade into the next city, Newbury Park.
