Obama's surprise appearance in the White House briefing room yesterday was a mixture of self indulgence and political exploitation of the tragic death of the Florida teenager. It did nothing to advance the cause of better race relations - even as the president himself had to acknowledge that life is indeed better for this generation - for his own daughters - than it was for his generation.

Perhaps one day we’ll elect a black president who is both competent and not a racist, neither of which characteristic is possessed by Obama, and that will create a real opportunity for bridging of our racial divides.
Embarrassing. Did anyone bother to tell Scott most people agree with the verdict and think he’s a scum for allowing his office to be used by the DOJ on a political witch hunt?
This “man” should be meeting with the Zimmermans offering his apologies.
He’s a little inadequate man, who will never do anything positive - he just doesn’t have it in him. To think otherwise would be to expect the 12th guy on the bench to come in and outscore Michael Jordan. It ain’t happening.

there was a community of blacks nearby that had come there to get out of Chicago. Swampy, worthless ground.
They lived in houses that would be Third World. Got their kids and grandkids out of Chitown, but most of the youth ended up going back there eventually.
