I think people are barking up the wrong tree with this cursive thing. It's obsolete. None of the kids around here (and this is a community with a high proportion of Ph.Ds) is learning "cursive". This includes a 14 year old girl I know who just started university. And others who aren't brilliant like her still manage to get and keep jobs. "Cursive" is a red herring.
