They don’t care if everyone is in a soup line as long as they are the ones who get to dish it out.

Remember that not only the exodus of Middle/Working class white from the urban tax base was disaster but the Inner Cities are full of Non-Profit/Tax Free Hospitals, Churches, Universities and Charities + Gubermint which add little to the tax base. Very soon the Feds will start full scale vouchering of the section 8 housing occupants so they can spread the misery! Wait and watch it happen, the plan will be to gut the 2A and then unleash the Orcs, the Blacks and the Illegals!

if the dollar ever strengthens against the euro, NYC will be in for some population decline.

Why has no one mentioned...

THE UNIONS?

Their demands forced the big auto corporations to abandon Detroit.

I expect that after the Sept. Germany elections, Greece will be in deep DOODOO. Next will be Portugal and then Italy.

So sometime in 2014 the Euro could be dropping against the Dollar. Or may not. The US has issues and the Fall, Winter Debt extension votes in Congress may cause the Dollar to fall as well.
