What the Media Choose Not to Know about Trayvon Martin
http://www.americanthinker.com ^ | June 7, 2013 | Jack Cashill

Unnerved by an unspoken mix of political bias and racial queasiness, the major media have chosen to know as little about Trayvon Martin as they know about Barack Obama.

As a case in point, consider this boy vs. man fable spun by the New York Times' Charles Blow:

A boy's blood had been spilled on a rain-soaked patch of grass behind a row of mustard-colored condominiums by a man who had pursued him against the advice of 911 dispatchers. That man carried a 9-millimeter handgun. The boy carried a bag of candy.

Blow was writing seven weeks after Trayvon's death. He had no excuse for missing the actual story. Worse, since he is a writer for the Times, his reporting has helped set the media tone worldwide

The media's willful ignorance was on display again this past week. In reporting this news of George Zimmerman's return to jail, more than a few media outlets showed the dangerously deceptive image of Trayvon as 11-year-old cherub. They did so in the assumption that the narrative was still theirs to control. It is not. The blogs, which have been doing the real detective work on this case, have long since taken control away from them.

The sites I have found most useful are the Daily Caller and theconservativetreehouse.com. What follows is largely culled from those sites and their independent contributors. By probing Trayon's background and parsing his social media chatter, they have put together a picture of a disturbed young man that begins to makes sense of the events that unfolded on that fateful rainy night of February 26.

Article came out before the trial, but very telling as to the lies of the media to coverup the real Trayvon Martin.

The Curious Case Of Trayvon Martin’s Backpack With Stolen Jewelry

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3042856/posts

“It was that M-DSPD internal affairs investigation which revealed in October 2011 Trayvon Martin was searched by School Resource Officer, Darryl Dunn. The search of Trayvon Martin’s backpack turned up at least 12 pcs of ladies jewelry, and a man’s watch, in addition to a flat head screwdriver described as “a burglary tool”.

When Trayvon was questioned about who owned the jewelry and where it came from, he claimed he was just holding it for a “friend”. A “friend” he would not name.

On October 21st 2011 a burglary took place a few blocks from Krop Senior High School where Trayvon Martin attended. The stolen property outlined in the Miami-Dade Police Report (PD111021-422483) matches the descriptive presented by SRO Dunn in his School Police report 2011-11477.”

Don’t know if the article goes on to make this point or not, but as “disturbed” as Trayvon was, the main blame for it goes to his totally rotten-to-the-core quality of “family” life. The more I learn about his “family” life, the more crystal clear I am that this is the source of his problem. To see them now, exploiting him in death, is beyond disturbing.

The media promoted a manufactured past for Obama, and you’re branded as a racist if you don’t buy into it. Doing the same for a nobody from Florida is child’s play.

The reason Trayvon got himself killed goes back to the Miami School Police.

Rather than admit Trayvon had a problem and admit that they had a problem with crime, they hid crime stats. Ergo, Trayvon's problems were not admitted and, thus, they could not addressed by disciplinary measures.

Now the media is doing the same thing and as such is merely victimizing other problem kids (and the problematic Black culture itself) by glossing over the truth.

The truth eventually comes out. There is infinitely more chance for damage and destruction when it is denied and burst on the scene by itself at some later date.

Barkley, Jimmy Carter, and a few others ‘supported’ the verdict. What does that mean? Absolutely nothing. Some celebrity(white only) should declare that Travon is not dead because he’s black. He’s dead because he was stupid.’ Perhaps a prominent Asian saying that would even be better. Remember Prime Minister Nakasone?

But Fruit will conceal his gangland tatoo with another one now, and sit in the courtroom looking all concerned.....

He knows where his son was headed in life, and let him go there.

This was a clear case of racism.

Here we have one man angry with another based on the color of his skin. That man also used racial epithets, clearly showing his racial prejudice.

That racial prejudice festered into anger and violence.

The violence ended when the victim of this racist attack defended himself with a firearm.

After 20 years in the Navy I was very much color blind. I never looked at things in the context of race - until now. Now when I ride or drive to any city I avoid any area that is not “white”. When I watch TV I an now aware of the actors’ race.

I am now suspicious of every young black face I see approaching me - especially if I am by myself or on my Harley. I am armed and stay that way when in an unfamiliar area.

The news media has alerted me to the fact that a segment of the black population has never advanced genetically above the typical predator genetics.

Now “thousands” of people want to “honor” a black, wanna be gansta. A hoodlum of the Ron Artest mindset - everything is related to how I can impress the other predators with my physical fighting prowess.

For every “This is for Travon” I believe there is going to be many more “This is for George” responses. Predatory behavior by a segment of black males (and some females as well - RE Trayvon’s “Friend”) along with the news media have had the opposite effect. I am now aware that the black population consists of mostly people who have no regard for the laws of our country, who believe that self defense laws should not apply when it’s a black predator attacking a non-black person.

I am now highly aware of the racial divide that exists in our country and I am prepared to defend myself and my family against any and all predators.

Thanks news media!

...the lies of the media to coverup the real Trayvon Martin.

Any unpleasant truth about a minority, (progressive) woman, homosexual or other "protected" class is automatically racist/sexist/homophobic/bigoted.

A thought that didn’t occur to me during the trial, but where were the fabled Skittles and Arizona iced tea when Martin died? Were they on the scene or had Martin had time to leave them somewhere, perhaps at his house? Anyone know?

Rather than admit Trayvon had a problem and admit that they had a problem with crime, they hid crime stats.

I wonder how many of those involved in hiding crime stats own properties in that area, which would go down in value as crime stats go up? That's one motivation.
