7 Action News has learned a new Federal Grand Jury continues to investigate what could be more pay-to-play corruption inside Detroit City Hall.
This could have easily started with evidence gathered in the Kilpatrick case as one of his top officials is already indicted in his own individual case.
The feds are looking into the multi-billion dollar police-fire pension fund, run by city employees and other top city officials.
Several, past and present employees, have been called to testify in front of the Federal Grand Jury.
Jeff Beasley was the former city treasurer under then mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. He also sat on the police-fire pension board.
His indictment outlines allegations of pay-to-play, vendors paying him and possibly others to get multi-million dollar business from the pension fund.
One current board member was called months ago to testify.
Earlier this week, 7 Action News reported the feds came to the police officers union with a grand jury subpoena and left with 5 years of financial records.

dangerous to your life...and wallet.
What a sewer they made out of that place
And how is this a surprise?
When a guy named Kwame is running the joint you know you are in the deep Doodoo.
Act like we’ve cleaned-up the mess before bailing them out. How utterly predictable.
After bankruptcy, Detroit will be rebuilt with the same cast of characters.
Government investigating itself. If it weren’t criminal, it would be hilarious.
Democrats? Corrupt?
I’m shocked! Shocked!
The difference is that nobody in their right mind will lend them any money. They will have to live within their means.
A startling statistic, less than 10% of Detroit eight graders read at a grade 8 level. When you get an obamaphone, welfare, food stamps, you don't need to read and write. Devolution in action.
this is like inspecting the city dump for messes... maybe this place should be expelled from the union
kidding
