Officials in the third-largest county in Pennsylvania have agreed to issue same-sex marriage licenses, despite a state law that bans the practice.

D. Bruce Hanes, the register of wills in Montgomery County in southeast Pennsylvania, said he wants to come down “on the right side of history and the law.” He agreed to issue a license Tuesday to two women who contacted him last week. …

Akin to the first shots at Ft. Sumter in PA.

Rural PA is very conservative. Alot of Pennsylvanians would be cheering if SE PA became part of New Jersey.

Let Christie deal with them.

Christie’s mind is too small to deal with any more than that little state of his.

And even NEPA has become Jersey-ized. I sometimes wish for an explosion in the black bear population, to scare the lib-minded out of there . . .

Any that are granted will be voided, just like the illegal ones done in San Fagcisco by the faggot Mayor in 2004.

He does an end-run around Pennsylvania Law and Kathleen Kane refuses to enforce it.

So you see, the Social Engineers have us right where they want us.

Lawlessness should be met with lawlessness. Then all bets are off. We already have a corrupt government that chooses which laws it wants to enforce or ignore (look at illegal immigration). The rule of law in America is coming close to meaninglessness.

So contrary to Pennsylvania state law, this county is going to break the law.

And the Pennsylvania attorney general does nothing.

D. Bruce Hanes, the register of wills in Montgomery County, does not have the authority to circumvent the law of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

He can, however, petition to take his county and join New Jersey. He can take Philadelphia along with him. He can take Kane (our AG) with him as well.

As a side note to this discussion, I have the following question.

The case of Minor v. Happersett and the subsequently ratified 19th Amendment concerning voting rights is evidence that activist justices and justices abused judicial power to promote so-called gay rights with respect to the way that the courts recently responded to Prop. 8.

Does anybody know of other relevant cases which expose PC interpretations of the 14th Amendment's Equal Protections Clause and the Full Faith and Credit Clause, Section 1 of Article IV, which activist judges are using to promote gay marriage?

Well what if two woman and a transvestite wanted to get married in a group marriage? Is he going to also give them a marriage license? Since when did “Recorder of Deeds” clerks have authority to decide what the law is?

Pennsylvania’s liberal AG will not enforce that law. There is no risk to those Montgomery county liberals.

Eventually we will all likely be convinced that these licenses are legal. Like you, I will never be convinced that they lead to marriages.

Idiot. The history you are fostering is the destruction of American society. Shut up and follow the law. Time to stand up to this crap. How about a recall election or something to get this asswad out of office............

Montgomery County is as liberal as Philly.

Wish we could give it to Jersey.
