I remember growing up in the ‘60s and thinking Detroit was where they made Chevys, and Denny McClain pitched for the Tigers, and Mitch Ryder made records. And now I find the place is a nothing but a foul, ancient toilet that swirls but can’t quite flush because the turds are too big and packed too tightly.
