Baltimore is thug city. I’m amazed that their office is still in downtown Baltimore. I used to drive through there on the freeway once in a while, and it really looked pretty scary—kind of like driving through the South Bronx. I put off any thought of stopping for crab cakes.
And I don’t imagine it’s gotten any better since then.
Baltimore was probably ‘safe’ until the late 1980s, and since then....I wouldn’t go anywhere downtown except the ballpark. I would imagine that Rowe Price is evaluating a better place to relocate to. I’m surprised they aren’t looking at Arlington VA, which has several empty buildings currently and would be 100-percent safe as compared to Baltimore.
