Electricity rates are expected to rise as the state uses more renewable sources, but state officials said higher electric bills could be offset by using less electricity through energy-efficient appliances, switching off lights in empty rooms, setting the thermostat a little higher in the summer, plugging air leaks in homes or upgrading insulation, among other techniques.
There, fixed it.
He needs all the leftist street cred he can get.
Considering O’Malley is officially brain dead I’m amazed that he continues to screw us folks here in Maryland.
This is part of his environmental special interest support for when he runs for BO’s position.
O’Malley is to Maryland what Bloomberg is to New York.
Green is the new Red. h/t Mark Levin
as a resident of Illinois, where the three scariest words in IL political history are “Governor. Pat. Quinn.” - you have my sympathy. Our Gov. is a bumbler but at least he’s not sleazy and corrupt like his two predecessors. Seems to me O’Malley and Blago would have lots to talk about...
And there’s not a person in the these idiot’s administration that could pass even a freshmen level “science for poets” course.
He runs a pipsqueak nothing state that would rank lower in national attention than Vermont or Rhode Island were it not for its ability to leach off of the Federal Government.
This liberal hypocrite rides in limousines, uses private jets and is never without air conditioning. People of Maryland deserve to suffer for electing dopey Democrats.
Basic rule of all economic activity - if there is a lower-priced alternative to what has been a staple source of some particular goods or services, then the lower-priced alternative will be adopted, and the higher-priced source of goods or services will be phased out.
Or so it is in a demand economy. In a command economy, the chosen source is put forth as the “only” source, and all competing alternatives will either be prohibited, or taxed at such levels, as to make the one remaining source the only option. As in other systems where the choices are limited, the quality and availability of the single source declines until it is either almost useless, or its continued drain finally forces its abandonment because of the ensuing chaos.
Supposedly in answer to the cry of the urban poor of Paris demanding bread, the response that Marie Antoinette offered was, “Oh, Louis, Louis, give them cake.” This was probably a myth, but the point the propagandists were trying to make, was that the ruling class was callous and totally unaware of realities.
As if cake were a substitute for bread.
Now we have Michelle in the White Hut giving us similar advice, and THAT is on tape, not a myth.
Apparently Maryland wants to beat California as the first state to declare bankruptcy since Michigan.
The only problem is that we can't make them stay. Marylanders have now taken over NoVa. They escaped the high taxes of Maryland to settle in the freer and more affordable confines of Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William counties, except now they have turned those counties into Maryland, Jr. Blow up the bridges crossing the Potomac, and ship all non-Virginians out of NoVa, and then we can talk about making Marylanders suffer.
Madness!
Please wait till I escape before you blow up the Bridges. I promise I won't move into NoVA, it's too crowded for me.

Actually, green has always been the gory violent fringe of the red.
Look up the Khmer Rouge.
The error in judgement results
from failure to realize that climate change can not be fought. At best all that can be happen is that climate change fighters will be salaried.
