'Flash mob' robbery at DC convenience store
Fox ^ | 7/24/2013

Posted on 07/25/2013 7:37:12 AM PDT by Altura Ct.

"It was crazy. Beyond our control," says the manager of the King Convenience store in the 1500 block of U Street in Southeast D.C.

He says a flash mob of teens stole candy, soda and other items from his store Saturday night.

"Bunch of kids, more than 20 or 30, grabbed everything," he says, asking not to be identified. "They grabbed everything and then ran away from the store."

An employee ran outside to try and stop some of the teens involved in the flash mob. He was confronted by one of them armed with a stick and is now recovering at home from his injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'8" tall, 180 pounds, with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt with a Nike emblem, short-sleeve jean jacket or vest, a white sweatband on his head, and knee-length jean shorts and tennis shoes.

“The previous owner, they locked the store and everything was inside,” the manager says. “We believe in community and opened everything up and try to do business, but sometimes it's hard.”

The new owners, who took over a year and half ago, say they would like to see police patrol the block every two hours or so, and crack down on loitering nearby.

For now, they don't plan to start locking everything up behind glass again.

"I have a lot of good customers, and because of them, I will try to keep it the way it is now," says the manager.

If you can identify any of the teens or know anything about the theft, you should call D.C. Police at 202-727-9099.

I’ve heard of liquor stores in some of these ghetto areas, in which the clerk sits behind bullet proof glass, and slides the bottles of liquor to you through a trap door.
*********
Convenience stores is many neighborhoods have more security than banks! Only in America.

If a small business is in a high crime area, they definitely need to consider a security “airlock”, which is not difficult to set up. Many businesses already use them.

A single person pushes a doorbell to request admission. Someone in the store pushes a buzzer to allow the outer door to be opened. But the inner door cannot be opened when the outer door is opened. So that one person enters the airlock at a time.

Once inside, and the outer door is closed, they get buzzed again through the inner door. When it is open, the outer door cannot be opened. The reverse process to leave.

The airlock itself is built of thick laminate and bolted to the floor.

The concept is similar to the ancient walls against fast moving brigands, such as the great wall of China. It wouldn’t keep them out, and wasn’t designed to; but it could prevent them from, as a group, quickly entering, raiding and leaving.

Employees and customers get used to the idea quickly. And even armed robbers have a major problem with it, because somebody in the store has to give them “permission” to leave. If they let them through the inner door, they are trapped in a thick laminate box, and their weapon is useless.

Are you plagued by marauding pests which descend on your location and devour everything?

It’s time to call:

The Desert Locust Control Organization !

http://www.dlcoea.org.et/

“Initially, the Organization was mandated to promote control operations and forecast techniques against upsurges and plagues of the Desert Locust, Schistocerca gregaria (Foreskal).

Later, the mandate was extended to include better management of infestations of other migratory pests,”

There's probably some code or law against this. Who hasn't seen signs that say "this door to remain unlocked during business hours"?

A couple of shot gun blasts would save society literally millions of dollars.

Taking advice from Joe Biden?

Most higher end jewelry stores here have those. They work well.

I’ve been to one, Across the street from the completely defunct Randall Mall. Cleveland “suburb.” Kinda freaked me out when I walked in. Got in and out as quickly as possible!

It should be demanded that any National Dialog on Race Relations has to include, as part of the overall solution, a simple plan to rid our country of these feral animals so we can live in safe and peaceful communities.

A society of rabid animals requires airlock style entry points.

A civil society requires no such thing.

The NSA has records of the texting/cell phone arrangements and could pinpoint which community organizer has invited these vermin to gather and flashmob-rob the store. But of course, like everything else associated to Holder and his people, the spying on communications will only be used on the democrips’ enemies, never on the criminal holdermobs. Feathers and tar and rails are long overdue ...

The reason it happens on this scale is because of community organizers. A pack of dogs assembles to rob and assault because someone organizes the mob. Period. We have a community organizer in the White Hut. And we’re surprised that these flashmobbery occur? For such a disease there are only a few remedies, one of which would be impossible because the Congress is run by the republicants and the senate by the democrips. Personally, I carry a couple of extra hi cap mags.

I think that was a Saiga with a drum magazine attached.

There is another way to deal with this vermin. ALL clerks must have ear muffs with them at all times and a very high db siren starts when a clerk pushes the button. The sound can be loud enough to hurt even rap-deadened ears. Also, a spray of permanent paint, in optic yellow is positioned over the entry so these 'borrowers' are marked as they leave the premises. Of course marking the vermin assumes the leos in the area are not under holder-orders to stand down.

I can attest to that. There are several in St. Louis City that EVERYTHING is behind the glass.

I went to the bank at lunch and found myself looking over my shoulder for a mod of skittle munching hoodie boys. This is what I worry about these days thanks to Obama and his race war.

Everybody in America increasingly lives or works behind multiple layers of security and surveillance. The security business must be booming. The firearms business in this country ain’t doing too bad either.

America used to be the land of the Free. Now its the land of Fear.
