Filner is probably waiting for a nice financial offer from the city to get rid of him. Maybe a nice big severance payment and full pension for life, as if he had served out two terms, plus full defense costs and indemnity from civil claims by the victims. That would be just about right. (s)

The Dems would approve it, because it isn’t their money.

I could see this as not totally out of the realm of possibilities!

I hear he's waiting two weeks for his special treatment because there are some votes coming up that he owes the unions. Gotta pay off those campaign donations....
