President Obama will bestow the Medal of Honor on an Army staff sergeant for courageous action during a daylong firefight in Afghanistan, making him the second solder honored with the nation's highest military honor for actions during the 2009 mountain battle.
Ty Carter, a former Marine who later enlisted in the Army, will be recognized at the White House on Aug. 26 for his action during a the firefight at a mountain outpost where U.S. troops were far outnumbered.
Carter killed enemy troops, resupplied ammunition to American fighters, rendered first aid and risked his own life to save an injured soldier pinned down by a barrage of enemy fire, according to the Army.....

I’m happy this guy is getting the medal, but getting it thru Obama must feel like getting it from a moslem Jeffrey Dahmer.
UNITED STATES ARMY
On Oct. 3, 2009, many Soldiers distinguished themselves when more than 400 Anti-Afghan forces, or AAF, attempted to overrun Combat Outpost, or COP, Keating, a company-sized outpost in Nuristan Province, Afghanistan. I am sure the Sgt. earned the medal, I only wish it could be presented to him by a real President.
Ain’t that the truth.
obama didn’t bestow sh!t! Congressional Medal of Honor was awarded by Congress... obama is just the blasphemer that will pin the medal on an American hero. It is a damned shame that a pos like obama can even touch that medal.
But, what kind of lack of an organization did we have that made it possible to have a day-long fire-fight? There should have been air-support sufficient to end this firefight fifteen minutes after it started.
Oh good. We’ll get to hear about Obama’s heroism.
“This isn’t entirely about me today. There was heroism on both sides that day. Let’s be clear. In fact, Muslims innovated awards for valor a long time.”
“I. Me. E. I. O. Ding dang Walla Walla Bing bang. Make no mistake. It’s not all me. Especially when bad things happen.”
“ I am, uh, um, I, we are looking forward to learning, I mean reading about this ceremony and why I’m here and not on the links in the newspaper.”
“OK, are we done here? Oh that’s right. The medal ....”
Medal of Honor is presented by the President in the name of Congress.
Thanks to the recipient for his duty, honor and courage. Sadly, I believe I’d have to schedule a colonoscopy for that day. Otherwise he’ll have to listen to king hussein spout about how HE has ended the war on terror blah, blah, blah.
I wouldn’t show up.
Geez, we have a true American hero, and instead of praising his heroism, the whole thread turns out to be about.... 0bama. Why are we even TALKING about him?? He’s not even relevant. He hangs the medal around the warriors neck. Thats it. I am truly sick of him being dragged into every conversation. On a subject like this he should be rightfully ignored.
Staff Sgt. Carter is warrior and a hero. And I think him for his service.

That Medal of Honor will sure open doors for Sgt Carter throughout life and I’m glad for him. My Nephew got a silver star & two bronze stars for his last two deployments in Afghan. When he was up hunting and showed them to me, and I read the clipping from Stars & Stripes; I thought man and the way Big Ears treats the military just ain’t right.
Why the heck does this headline and story have our crappy president name first? Who is this about Fox News? Barf!
