Yet in recent months, an alignment on high-profile domestic issues not to mention an eye on their respective legacies has transformed Obama and McCain into Washingtons most unexpected odd couple. The Arizona senator is a regular visitor to the West Wing and in near-daily contact with senior White House officials.
McCain, in an Associated Press interview, said that he and Obama "trust each other."
For Obama, the senator has become a rare Republican backer of important elements on the presidents second term agenda, including immigration overhaul, stricter background checks for gun buyers, and perhaps a fall budget deal.
The first test of that strategy probably will be the White House-backed immigration overhaul. McCain helped write and shepherd the bill through the Senate last month.

“Should not this title been noted with a huge barf alert.’
The title was too long, I couldn’t fit in the “barf alert” — but it isn’t really necessary, is it? ;)

I voted for McCain hoping he’d have a Viagra overdose and die in office leaving the iron balled Sarah Palin as CIC

Anybody who knows McCain will not be surprised by this, but only disappointed and disgusted.

Nurse’s notes: 07/26/2013
President McCain needs his meds at 1400 and again at 2200. His depends should be changed at 0600, 1200, 1600 and 2200. Lithium is administered at 0630 following his breakfast and again at lights-out. The posey should never be removed until bath time and then only for as long as two attendants are present. President McCain often ‘visits’ with other elected officials such as President Obama, Senator Reid, Senator Schumer and others. Expect long and rambling rants regarding open borders, Syrian freedom fighters, and his vice-president Palin.
Patient should be monitored for frothing and deepening confusion.
