Interview With President Obama (by The New York Times)
The New York Times ^ | Saturday, July 27, 2013 | Interviewed by Jackie Calmes and Michael D. Shear

Posted on 07/28/2013 10:30:13 AM PDT by kristinn

MR. OBAMA: ...And one of the interesting things that we don’t talk about enough is the contrast between what’s happened in the United States and what’s happened in a lot of other developing countries, Europe in particular.

SNIP

MR. OBAMA: (Keystone pipeline) Well, first of all, Michael, Republicans have said that this would be a big jobs generator. There is no evidence that that’s true. And my hope would be that any reporter who is looking at the facts would take the time to confirm that the most realistic estimates are this might create maybe 2,000 jobs during the construction of the pipeline -- which might take a year or two -- and then after that we’re talking about somewhere between 50 and 100 [chuckles] jobs in a economy of 150 million working people.

SNIP

MR. OBAMA: Jackie, if you heard me on stage today, what I said was that I will seize any opportunity I can find to work with Congress to strengthen the middle class, improve their prospects, improve their security --

NYT: No, but specifically –

MR. OBAMA: -- but where Congress is unwilling to act, I will take whatever administrative steps that I can in order to do right by the American people.

And if Congress thinks that what I’ve done is inappropriate or wrong in some fashion, they’re free to make that case. But there’s not an action that I take that you don't have some folks in Congress who say that I'm usurping my authority. Some of those folks think I usurp my authority by having the gall to win the presidency. And I don't think that's a secret. But ultimately, I’m not concerned about their opinions -- very few of them, by the way, are lawyers, much less constitutional lawyers.

The interview was conducted at Knox College in Galesburg, Ill., on July 24, 2013.

The breathtaking arrogance and ignorance of Obama on full display.

Barry.... You are a constitutional “ lecturer” not a lawyer.....

As they say, where are your “ bona fides” to prove your claim of superiority in that regard.

It seems that one of the house organs of the Leviathan state is growing quite desparate.

He sneers at a mere 2,000 full time jobs while Obamacare turns the US into a Third World anthill of low wage part timers and welfare slaves.

After reading that, I have nothing to say that wouldn't get pulled.

P.S. Hi Kristinn. Hope all is well with you.

I’m curious, but not enough to click the NYeT article.
How did they transcribe the sounds of boot-licking?

I’m beginning to think King Zero hears no one but himself. The sign of a true monarch.

Ah, the sounds of a pompous, overbearing ignoramus with delusions of grandeur, signifying nothing more than an empty head...and suit.

Someone should challenge the boy to name one, just one, of his projects (into which he has poured countless billions of dollars) that has ever produced 2,000 jobs.

America is just one of those “developing” countries. Developing into what, one might ask. Certainly not to regain its reputation as one of the wealthiest and most powerful nations on earth, we are fast giving away that characterization.

“Only” 2,000 jobs? Compared to how many were to be developed by Solyndra, for example?

‘Tis a pity that the Current Regime now entrenched in the White Hut has such low ambitions for the future of America. The Keystone pipeline shall be there not only to move Alberta tar sands petroleum, but the various other fields opened up by new technology developed for the extraction of hydrocarbons. Conversion of these hydrocarbons into a vast multitude of products and energy delivery systems in and of itself is an enormous contributor to the growth of wealth, far beyond a comparative handful of construction jobs.

But perhaps the term “multiplier effect” is just one of those undefined things that the Current Regime has never much thought about.

I find it interesting that even The New York Times refers to him as Mr. Obama and not President Obama.

The liberals can’t even call him president

He just makes stuff up. he is like the Liar Guy on the old Saturday Night shows.

Either that or he is the Peter Sellers character in “Being There”. He is Chance, The Gardener.

Or, he is a moslem America hater we know nothing about who has set out to destroy America.

Could be that he is all of the above...

This man is a moron. It’s truly amazing what you can get away with if the media is willing to cover for you.
