The governor expected to release more details about his personal finances this week.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott says he has less money now than he did when he first ran for governor.

A multi-millionaire who bankrolled most of his campaign, Scott has reported that his net worth has tumbled from more than $200 million to nearly $84 million.

But Floridians don't have a clear picture about his family finances.

Scott accepts only a $1 a year in salary. He has taken steps that keep his assets shielded from public view. He also has not disclosed the finances of his wife even though she controls the company that owns the jet he uses.

What the governor is doing is legal.

There are times one feels that Rick Scott is being overpaid by that one dollar....ie Pam Bondi and the entire Teyvon trial, etc. Not living in Florida, can say no more as not familiar with the entire situation. Do know how we feel/not feel regarding the Rube. However, Gov. Scott is an enigma.

Is he whining or answering financial questions put to him by the media?

The Liberals have been whining about his money since he ran for office. These recent statements are just in response to further Liberal whining.

Of course it doesn't matter what the excuse is to the class warfare contingent on FR.

I’ll never understand conservatives bashing a successful person’s wealth/income. I understand people being mad at him over the Martin v Zimmerman trial, but this is stupid.

He was required by a new state law to file a detailed financial disclosure of his blind trust. He is not whining. Just complying with the law.

Governor Scott accepts the minimum salary necessary to be on the State payroll system for accounting purposes. He pays for his own health care.
