Trayvon’s mom: Stand Your Ground helped Zimmerman get away with murder
The Miami Herald ^ | July 29, 2013 | Marc A. Caputo

The mother of Trayvon Martin said Monday that she believed Florida’s Stand Your Ground law played a role in her son’s shooting death, but she wasn’t ready to support a boycott of the state for not changing the self-defense law.

“The thing about this law is I just think it assisted the person who killed my son to get away with murder,” Sybrina Fulton, the mother of the 17-year-old from Miami Gardens, said at a National Bar Association event in Miami Beach.

“I think we have to change these laws so people don’t get away with murder,” she said, adding that her son was unarmed and peacefully walking back to his dad’s place when he was initially pursued by George Zimmerman.

Zimmerman successfully pleaded self defense in the killing. A jury acquitted him on July 13 in Sanford.

But the exact role of Stand Your Ground in the case isn’t clear. Only two jurors have spoken up to CNN and ABC, and just one referenced the law, which allows a person to more easily use deadly force without having to first retreat in a confrontation.

Zimmerman’s legal team didn’t focus on mounting a Stand Your Ground defense, however, saying that a common self-defense justification was all the 29-year-old man needed because he reasonably feared that Trayvon, who jumped him, was going to gravely injure him during a fistfight.

The National Bar Association, echoing calls from the Dream Defenders protestors occupying a part of Gov. Rick Scott’s office in the state Capitol, has called on Florida lawmakers to repeal or amend the law....

:: her son was unarmed and peacefully walking back to his dad’s place ::

The beat goes on!

Hey, Sybryna, TraydMark was walking back to the apartment that his father’s MISTRESS had leased.

And, even tho TraydMark had been “sent off” to stay with his father because he had been SUSPENDED FROM SCHOOL FOR MARIJUANA POSSESSION, his father (and MISTRESS) was not home at the time and DID NOT RETURN until hours after TrayMark had been killed.

His father’s FIRST IMPULSE WAS TO CALL THE JUVENILE DETENTION court.

Facts be old school.

Just like we’ve had “Megan’s Law” and “Amber Alert” expect “Trayvon’s Law” coming soon to a location near you. That’s where this is going.

Just shows you how much of a dumba$$ she is. The law never even entered into the court case. It was not mentioned even once during the trial.

These libturds don’t have the guts to launch a civil lawsuit against Zimmerman so they engage in this farcical narrative in the hopes of generating some payola from the event.

Of course, Stand Your Ground wasn’t a part of the defense’s argument that Zimmerman was innocent, and Zimmerman was on his back being beaten when he fired.

That is really what this is about, cow white people so that the black hoodlums can rob, steal and kill more of them with impunity.
Bingo, we have a winner.
It'll be be just like the "N word" - only "special people" can say it.

I am beginning to really despise this woman. Not only did she pass him around like an unwanted puppy, contributing to the creature he became, but if this is her personality, he was probably doomed to aggression by pure heredity.

He was peacefully walking back to his dad’s until his girlfriend convinced him that Zimmerman was a Gay Rapist who needed a “Whoop-azz”.

Ms. Fulton must have left the courtroom when the facts were presented.

I still don’t see how she and others can go around saying that Z “got away with murder” or “Z is a murderer.” Isn’t that slander when applied to someone who was found not guilty? To me, it is different from saying, “I disagree with the verdict” or “I think he is guilty.” To me, these statements cross a line. Moreover, by inflaming passions, they are an incitement to violence and threaten Z’s physical safety.

She got away with perjury because there is no scientific way to prove that the voice belonged to Zimmerman. But he said right away to the police that he was calling for help and eight witnesses backed him up. The father didn’t identify his son when he heard him. This woman abandoned her son at age 3 and probably never heard him scream ever. She was out to frame an innocent man.

Stand your ground was a law that preveted this case from becoming a travesty in civil and criminal courts.

stand your ground protects us from the scum like attorney crump.

stand yoru ground protects us from the ilk of Mz. i-just-rediscovered-I-was-mother-to-a-thug-turned-angel.

stand your ground is what is preventing Attorney Crump from doing a double jeopardy bypass in civil court.

Here comes “Affirmative Justice.”

I believe that's also known as "social justice." It's an elaborate, long-winded rationale for stealing from the productive, giving most of the stolen money to the feral government, and handing whatever's left over to the looter class.

Marxists believe if they retell a stupid lie long enough, it will magically metamorphose into the truth.

Not to mention that GZ was not standing at the time, he was on his back on the ground getting a whip ass beat down.
