Jiamei Tian, 58, was arrested Monday afternoon after allegedly covering the National Cathedral's organ inside the historic Bethlehem Chapel, as well as the Children's Chapel on the main level, with green paint.

Tian, of no fixed address, was found in the Children's Chapel Monday. Sources say she was found with paint on her clothing and hands and a container of paint in one of her bags. She got loud during the arrest but did not resist and was charged with defacing property.

Occupy Wall St type? Mentally unsound?

Wonder who put it into her unsound mind to spread green paint around on national treasures?

Clever. The occupy people have nutcases do their dirty work for them and the nutcases get arrested not their programmers.

I would say this to her. Go back to whereever it is you came from.

Could she be acting out her feelings for the United Nations ‘A United Green Religion’: Blending the world’s religions together and bringing them under the umbrella of the United Nations? Who knows?

There are many who hate us, hate our institutions, our history, our achievements and our way of life. They would do more than just dump green paint on things if they could.

Just wish they’d all get the h*ll out of this country and crawl back into their holes. Scummy things can’t keep coming over here, though, because this is where the gettin’ is good.

In the video it appears that she is wearing a green button on her shirt.

As I said in a previous post, this doesn’t fit with the photographs of the perps released by CBS 9 DC a few days ago. A mom was taking pictures of her kids and possibly caught them in the background. A group of young males, not an older Asian woman.

Just three days after paint was found splattered at the Lincoln Memorial, a similar substance was discovered Monday on a statue memorializing Joseph Henry, the first secretary of the Smithsonian Institution and the Luther Place Memorial Church at Thomas Circle. Green paint was found on a statue of Martin Luther outside of the church, as well as an organ inside. The vandalism was found Sunday after the church's noon service. Witnesses told News4 the woman they saw at the church Sunday matches the exact description of Tian. Tian, of no fixed address, was found in the Children's Chapel Monday. Sources say she was found with paint on her clothing and hands and a container of paint in one of her bags.

No fixed address? How about fixed citizenship?

I suppose the use of green paint was significant, at least in the minds of some. I am struggling with the homeless aspect of this - was she just some derelict picked up on the street and given some kind of promise in exchange for a “few little tasks”?

Or is this a willful anarchist operating with a greater agenda? If so, what was the point that was supposed to be made?

I’m surprised she didn’t set fire to the Reichstag.
