Sybrina Fulton repeated her assertion that neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman "got away with murder" in the 2012 killing of her son largely because of Florida's self-defense law, which generally removed a person's duty to retreat if possible in the face of danger. It was the first of its kind in the nation when passed in 2005. Now, about two dozen states have similar laws, but the focus of repeal efforts is squarely on Florida.

Although he was not part of the event, the Rev. Jesse Jackson appeared as a spectator and later told reporters that the "stand your ground" law reminded him of past laws that prevented blacks from sitting at the front of buses.

upon hearing of Trayvon’s death Sybrina never left North Dade (Fort Lauderdale) to travel to Sanford. She stayed home. The first time she actually went to Sanford was to attend a press conference on March 8th.

Trayvon’s Dad, Tracy Martin, was living with his sister Ebony Martin Mcclain, also in Miami Gardens. However, Tracy was reported to be considering a permanent move to live with girlfriend Brandy Green and her son, Chad, in Sanford. *Brandy Green is, or was, pregnant with Tracy’s child.

Trayvon was NOT living with his mom. Trayvon was NOT living with his dad. Trayvon was living with his uncle, Stephen Martin, and his wife “Aunt Miriam, in Miami Gardens.

They are taking all sorts of liberties with the truth, in order to make a narrative that a “white Hispanic” with a gun shot a black boy for no reason. And they are taking liberties with the truth to make it sound as if the biggest threat to black men in this country is a white Hispanic neighborhood watch person with a gun. The fact that the biggest threat to black men is another black man with a gun is ignored as they pursue this narrative.

She's trying to be the next Cindy Sheehan, who also got a lot of mileage from her son dying while doing what he chose to do.
The difference is that U.S. Army Specialist Casey Sheehan died honorably, serving his country, while Trayvon was a street thug.
We will never know how many lives Zimmerman saved that day.

Trayvon Martin's Mom Sybrina Fulton Receives 8 Months Vacation Time Donated By Miami-Dade County Workers

The Miami Herald reports that Sybrina Fulton, a 23-year veteran of the county housing authority, received $40,825 worth of donated vacation time from a 192 colleagues.

The donations to Fulton and Trayvon's aunt, water and sewer customer service rep Yolanda Knight Evans, were made possible by a resolution passed last month allowing county employees to donate up $50,000 in vacation time to any family member of Martin's employed by Miami-Dade County.

The resolution, sponsored by County Commissioners Bruno Barreiro, Barbara Jordan and Jose “Pepe” Diaz, stated it was created because "generous county employees have expressed a desire to contribute their earned holiday and annual leave" to both women.

Zimmerman did not “INSTIGATE” things.

Correction: By approaching Martin and asking him what he was doing there, Zimmerman "instigated" the altercation - at least, in the opinion of most Blacks.
