In the decades following its bankruptcy in 1953, Indian Motorcycle was the target of several companies that tried unsuccessfully to revive the storied brand, the leading motorcycle manufacturer of its time.
But now Indian has the financial muscle to make it happen. Polaris (PII), the maker of snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles and Victory motorcycles, bought Indian in 2011 and is moving at full throttle to bring it back to prominence.

Good—we need more competition out there. Lets hope they turn to making small cars now. I think a good —fun—fast 3 wheel car (like the old Morgan supersport in the 1930s) could be a great American product. They get great mileage and are a hoot to drive.
I just like music.
I got to the point of DOB, and canceled; not leaving that plus other info. I’ll start saving pocket change...
Saw the ads last night, pretty good marketing and appeal. Nothing like a little competition to make things better.
That would be up to Anoreth. I don’t have any pictures of her with motorcycles.
neither does “Casino Running Firewater Drinker”.
“this seems like a different year and the same recycled story”
I hear you but maybe it will be different this time . . . it’s a major public company now behind the brand, Polaris has a good reputation and already in the motorcycle and other recreational vehicles, is launching a polished ad campaign and put a lot of effort in the redesign to keep some of the historic look but add 21st century technology. We’ll see but I’m rooting for it.
Morgan still makes them.
Haha . . . I always hate leaving personal info and generally won’t but I just add to in this case!
I’m sorry, they never did and never will look as good as a HD Road King Classic.
Indians stike me as trying too hard to make a cool retro-bike look.
eh.
And don’t get me started on the gawd-awefullest ugliest bike ever created - the Victory Vision Street.
GACK!!!!!!!!!
polaris has run this story several times over the years.
so far nothing.
extremely stupid marketing of this great new bike...hidin pics is ignorant squared
could not GIVE me a Victory bike
This seems to be direct competition to Polariss Victory brand. Why would they do this?
I was reading in another story somewhere that the company over the next few years is anticipating in combined motorcycle sales between $500 million and a billion (some range!) with most of that attributed to Indian sales.
“Indians stike me as trying too hard to make a cool retro-bike look.”
With an awesome engine!
I thought about leaving a fake DOB, but they could/might disqualify you if you won, for fraud or something in fine print.
