The gray beyond: A family copes after tragedy
Washington Post ^ | July 27, 2013 | Keith L Alexander

As the first anniversary of the attack approaches, TC, now 30, and his family are still putting their lives back together. Intensive speech therapy through a program in Canada is one way; he wants to read again to his 2-year-old son, Jack. He also wants to teach him soccer someday. He wants to return to work and provide for Jack and Abby.

TC and his family are also still absorbing how their lives will never be the same.

Lengthy and touching article.

It does not touch on the nature of the crime committed against Thomas “TC” Maslin, or of the Perp, not pictured in the article.

The assault took place on Aug. 18, 2012. Say? Why have we not heard about it? Well this is a DC crime and it was a Black Street Thug who committed the crime against a young White man. After robbing Thomas the Perp smashed his head with an aluminum baseball bat. Crushing his skull.

3 young Black men were arrested, 2 were acquitted and one was convicted of the assault.

The scars will go with Thomas for the rest of his life. And the impact on his family is horrible.

This could have been George Zimmerman’s story had he not been armed.

TC was a Democrat "policy analyst" in DC.

As far as I am concerned, he and his ilk created the "policies" that encourage feral Eric Holder's people to attack non-Eric Holder's people.

Karma's a bitch.

I wonder if his wife believes the LIB crap about white guilt and that her husband deserved what he got?

Maybe she’ll become the Sarah Brady of aluminum bats.

While I do feel for the guy I have to agree that it seems he was hoisted on his own petard and will hopefully reflect on that as he struggles to recover. If not ... well then I really have no sympathy for the stupid.

I am not saying he deserved it.

I am saying he helped foster the environment where Eric Holder's people believe that they have a civil right to give #%%-whoopings to creepy-#%% crackah rapists.

The police chiefs are always telling us to submit to criminals and we'll be OK, and that we should never resist.

Doing what the robbers told him to do doesn't seem to have protected him from much.

Might he have been better off resisting?

I know places that the outcome would have been much different.

And the threat of an armed citizen would have made the feral vermin very afraid to attempt such as this.

Bammm.

This is the best that the WP could do covering this crime?

Guess it is all we should expect.

It would be racist to actually mention the crime and the perp in the same sentence.

That would be profiling, too.

The right to survive kicks in somewhere.

I am glad I don’t live in a city. They would put me in jail.
