Quietly, Obama Begins 'Regionalizing' America
http://www.breitbart.com ^ | July 30, 2013 | Joel B. Pollak

Stanley Kurtz at National Review Online writes about San Francisco's new Plan Bay Area--a "regional" plan for San Francisco and the surrounding cities that is ostensibly aimed at making sure minorities can afford the local housing market, but which is actually aimed at forcing Americans to live in denser urban areas as part of state and federal initiatives aimed at slowing global warming by restraining suburban growth.

The background to Plan Bay Area, which is, Kurtz writes, essentially being imposed on local residents with help from the Obama administration, is an activist agenda from the 1990s aimed at redistributing the wealth of the suburbs into failing, Democrat-run cities. One of Barack Obama's community organizing mentors, Mike Kruglik, is involved in the effort, and Obama was once involved (together with Bill Ayers) in funding it.

Joel Kotkin has written about California's new planning regime before, accusing Democrats of waging "a hypocritical jihad against basic middle-class aspirations." But in the counter-cultural critique of Pete Seeger and Joan Baez, on which today's California leaders were nurtured, suburbs are little more than "ticky-tacky" vehicles of oppressive conformity and waste, those middle-class aspirations are precisely the problem.

Meanwhile, Republicans in congress hide in the tall grass afraid of their own shadow.

Or worse, openly colluding with obama and democrats.

I don't know how conservatives are going to win anything in 2014 with the way republicans are acting. Even if the republicans win 2/3's of both the senate and the house there is still the problem of entrenched GOPe and multi-term congress-critters drunk on K street money and DC's "power".

Supposedly, you can find the appropriate documents and calculations at HUD.gov.

I can’t find them. Let me know if anyone does.

On the other hand, few items have such great potential to blow-up in Barry’s face.

This is one of the few things IMO that could pry recalcitrant white voters off the couch to march down and pull the lever for a RINO.

He is playing with fire here.

What is really about is controlling the population, getting them into smaller cages, and more assimilated to the collective- so Americans can FINALLY stop being so darn successful and inventive.

It isn’t fair to the rest of the world (esp the Saudis, who want us to be their energy slaves forever).

“I see more as flooding the red precincts with more blue voting invading colonizers.”

That’s part of it. I see it more as destruction of the affluent suburban way of life that thinks independently and votes Republican. One part of the strategy is to deprive the suburbs of the good paying middle class jobs (economic stagnation, business regulation), tax and regulate them ecessively (0bamacare) and finally to starve them of the cheap energy they need for sustainability (Keystone XL, war on coal). The whole goal is to herd the independent affluent suburban republicans into the collective farms of the crowded cities where they can be made dependent drones and reliable democrats.

The “colonization” of the suburbs with the “boyz from the hood” attacks another key component of suburban living; safety. Affluent people flee the cities to escape the crime. They want their kids to go to good schools. Now they can’t escape because the crime is being brought into their neighborhood, and the thugs will ruin their suburban schools. At the same time the George Zimmerman trial seeks to disarm and destroy the suburbanites ability to defend themselves. One way to make people more pliable and susceptible to being herded is to terrorize them.

It’s all part of Axelrod and Jarrett’s plan to institute the perpetual one-party communist state.
