KENOSHA, WI -- An animal shelter was swarmed with armed government agents after employees began caring for a baby deer.
"It was like a SWAT team," shelter employee Ray Schulze said.
Nine DNR agents and four sheriff's deputies performed a raid on the Society of St. Francis animal shelter. They had received two anonymous snitch calls to notify them that a baby deer was being cared for.
The agents came prepared with aerial spy photographs of the animal shelter, perhaps taken with a drone, showing evidence that the baby deer had been walking in and out of the barn.

Coward punk cops. They had to inject the fawn because it
was cheaper than the 150 rounds of ammo they would have
used trying to kill it. The warden could have walked in there
and taken care of this himself but when their dear leader

I don’t know about the information in this article, except that it has been posted 3 times today and the President of that animal shelter is not to be trusted. You cannot believe a word she says. She is in trouble around here all the time. I don’t know how she has a license to do anything with animals after her dognapping incident.
We do have a problem — a BIG problem — with deer around here. We have way too many. Plus many of them are infected with chronic wasting disease (like mad cow) so the DNR does not want the herds mixed. (Wasn’t this fawn supposed to be from IL?)
I don’t like to see them killed, and I’ve been mourning all summer because I ran over a new born fawn with the lawn mower last month. I haven’t gotten on my mower since. I’m just waiting for the frost to come to kill the grass so that I can see what’s under it.
All I know is that as much as I dislike the DNR, I trust Cindy Schultz less.
The DNR works for Wisconsin. Somebody else is in charge of clearing out the thugs in Chicago.

What I mean by being on the up and up is how much credibility she has. She has NONE in my opinion after some of the stunts she’s pulled over that last 20 years around here. So, if it is her word against the DNR, I’d believe the DNR. THat’s all I’m saying.

This was a free country. You don’t need a swat team to kill a baby deer.
Yeah Sherlock I know the WI DNR has no jurisdiction in Chicago. I’m making a point. Why are we spending tax dollars and thug tactics like this at all?
If these guy’s are so tough in there boots and flack jackets how about driving them 60 miles south to 76th street on the south side of Chicago some night. Do some real police work put them to good use. They wouldn’t even get out of the car.

I’m just saying to look at the whole story before you jump on the bandwagon to beat down the DNR. The owner of thhis “shelter” is not credible. If you’ll look at the first time this story was posted you’ll find a case where she refused to return a dog to the owner. And 10 years ago she and her group kidnapped 2 purebred Gordon Setters out of their own back yard and sold them across state lines after she neutered them. They were pedigreed, championship dogs.
She also had another dog killed. I don’t quite remember the circumstances but it was something to do with providing a defense for her in the dognapping case.
Then, she sued a local, conservative talk show host for reporting on it. She lost and even had to pay court costs in that.
She is NOT credible and she doesn’t belong around animals.
I don’t know why you keep mentioning Chicago. The Wisconsin DNR has no authority in Chicago. You have to compare apples with apples, not peaches.
These law enforcement agencies are obviously over-staffed.

That is so wrong on so many levels... So what about her past? If she was arrested, I assume that she paid her debt to society in some manner, as she was not in jail. Perhaps she turned over a new leaf? Who cares??? That doesn’t make the SWAT attack okay!
F*** the Wisconsin jackbooted thugs. This s**t has to stop. Defund local SWAT teams and elect Constitutional sheriffs!
