F.B.I. Said to Find It Could Not Have Averted Boston Attack (o rly?)
New York Times ^ | August 1, 2013 | Michael S. Schmidt

The F.B.I. has concluded that there was little its agents could have done to prevent the Boston Marathon bombings, according to law enforcement officials, rejecting criticism that it could have better monitored one of the suspects before the attack.

That conclusion is based on several internal reviews that examined how the bureau handled a request from a Russian intelligence agency in 2011 to investigate whether one of the suspects, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, had been radicalized during his time in the United States. …

Members of Congress have contended that the F.B.I. should have done a more extensive investigation of Mr. Tsarnaev in response to the Russian request. And they have said the bureau should have followed up with Mr. Tsarnaev after he returned from a trip to Russia in 2012. …

So they monitored the suspects & STILL have the audacity to claim that they could not have prevented the bombing. Right.

Certainly the arrogance to make such a claim, yes.

There is NO accountability in federal “law enforcement” any longer.

Nothing like having an organization investigate itself if you want an unbiased report.

Indeed. Kinda like Holder investigating his own DOJ for wrongdoing with respect to seizing journalists’ communication records, back in May.

They were probably too busy reading NSA printouts of my email and facebook posts to monitor actual terrorists whom they had actual intelligence about.

The agents were too busy with Tea Party and keeping rinos blackmailed. Can’t help, got to prioritize.

The Russians warn us that the Tsarnaev brothers are a threat and the FBI can do nothing, but the government wants to record every phone call, every email, every web search and every single tap on your keyboard. They claim the have to gather every haystack to look for some phantom needles, but can do nothing when the are handed a single hay stem with a big railroad spike shoved through it.

Why? Because they didn’t supply the bomb? That seems to be the only way the FeeBles stop any terrorists plots nowadays—by setting up some idiot and supplying a dud bomb to them.

Meanwhile, the terrorists laugh at that kind of “activity” as they plot their next strike.

There is NO accountability in federal “law enforcement” any longer.

Fast & Furious showed us that... along with Waco and Ruby Ridge.
How many federal agents, in all of them combined, have spent more than a year in jail for their involvement? A month? A week? Even a day?
I suppose honest answers there would be depressing.

Yes, and that’s after Russia specifically alerted the FBI to keep an eye on them.

We seriously need a cleanup of our so-called gutless, republican leaders. It’s incredible that Boner with scandals 10 times worse than watergate doesn’t have the balls to set up a select committee to investigate each one of them.

Institutionalized inncompetence, together with rampant ass-covering, are yet another aspect of the huge bureaucracies found in socialist systems such as that being foisted off on us by Soetaro of Indonesia.

You've noticed that too, I see. Any "resistance", patriot, or terrorist group with more than 3 people in it have at least one FBI infiltrating it. You can spot the feral agents, because they will be the ones pushing hardest to blow things up, and will have almost miraculous access to explosives, timers, and other esoterica.
