Lawmakers and staff can breathe easy their health care tab is not going to soar next year.
The Office of Personnel Management, under heavy pressure from Capitol Hill, will issue a ruling that says the government can continue to make a contribution to the health care premiums of members of Congress and their aides, according to several Hill sources.
A White House official confirmed the deal and said the proposed regulations will be issued next week.

It’s not about paying a tax. It’s about there being no legal way for the Congress, as an employer, to pay a portion of the healthcare premiums of its employees.
A flaw in the law.
Of course, this administration doesn’t bother with things like the law.

We all knew this would happen so I’m not surprised, but Congress should resign in shame and disgrace.
This is one of the darkest ages in our short history.
Ah, but a direct tax w/out apportionment is unConstitutional; as are all the waivers, favors, etc.
2nd, as gov’t does not create its own $$, only that which is taxed from We the People, We the People are their employers.
Not that you’ll heard any anti- from the current GOP crowd....
