House Republicans will take a carefully orchestrated, staunchly anti-Washington campaign to voters this month, blaming President Barack Obama and his fellow Democrats for Americans’ unhappiness with government.

“Every day I serve in Congress, I work to fight Washington,” says a suggested op-ed in a richly detailed “planning kit” distributed to all 234 House Republicans ahead of the August recess.

Running against Washington is an old strategy. Ronald Reagan summarized it only minutes after being sworn in as president in January 1981. “In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem,” he told the country. “Government is the problem.” …

Both WWF and DC politics can be crudely entertaining, but there is a difference. It's unlikely that WWF will destroy the nation.

These crooks want to fight Washington, they ought to defund most everything including their pensions and then leave after 2 terms Max.
DC will never reform itself, too busy extorting cash from the working class and living high on the hog

Someone posted an editorial by David Limbaugh recently that had some stuff in it I disgreed with so I did a google of david limbaugh 2012 to see what he was saying last year:

David Limbaugh: If Obama re-elected ‘we don’t deserve to keep our country’ (06/06/2012)

10 Reasons Mitt Will Win (David Limbaugh | Sep 25, 2012)

Here he says we only have 2 to 3 years left to live if Obama is re-elected:
David Limbaugh: “The Future Of The Country Turns On This Election”( June 4, 2012 )

O has done his damnedest to put things in place to make sure that happens. But I can't say that Romney-Ryan would have been better, especially after what the latter has been doing lately.

Err, those are job creators you are talking about Sir,....
What ?? The 2012 election is over and so we can drop that BS????
no-one tells me anything around here :)

A SOL theorem says R+R wouldn't have been that much better than Obama but their actions and positions would be forever cited as ‘Republicans ideas’ just as we are endlessly lectured by Obama that lots of his initiatives ‘were original Republican ideas’ and how open minded Bush and Mccain are,

It's not exactly that the election is over, but that Ryan has been revealing his hideous true self.

Exactly. I posted my conversation with a leftist blaming Solyndra on GWB.

RE :”It's not exactly that the election is over, but that Ryan has been revealing his hideous true self. “

You might recall that all through last year I kept calling out Ryan for claiming he was against the military sequester when it is clearly on video of Ryan praising the Sequester budget control act as a great historical victory here,
I kept posting the youtube link here, and as always got grief here for dissing the budget wizard wonder boy. .

Here ya go, another SOL classic
SOL classic, posting clear example showing how Ryan is lying about his role in sequester, see #28 09/18/2012 4:53:22 AM PDT by sickoflibs

That is what teamed up with Romney to beat Obama last year.
Two obvious phonies very few actually believed,

I nailed him first.

BTW :Ryan’s reason for voting for that bill may have been valid, in spite of it being a total piece of dishonest crap that was written in secret and voted on without reading it.

His reason would be to protect his party from being blamed for destroying the economy, purely political. That is his #1 goal to protect the GOP.

But he was scared to admit that so instead chose to lie over and over claiming he was against it all along,
looking like a dishonest phony, which he obviously is.

He had to play conservative hero fighter while joining Romney as two moderates when he agreed to run with Mitt. His job was like Palin's in 2008, shore up the base.
