TOKYO (Reuters) - Highly radioactive water seeping into the ocean from Japan's crippled Fukushima nuclear plant is creating an "emergency". Contaminated groundwater has breached an underground barrier, is rising toward the surface and is exceeding legal limits of radioactive discharge. Countermeasures planned by Tokyo Electric Power Co are only a temporary solution.

I wouldnt want to be around it!Nope, and if you stay there too long, it might be around you (the sinkhole, that is).
Actually, years of working on oil rigs disclose the simple fact that most of the places which seem nice now have been for most of their existence incredibly hostile environments for humans; those environments reflected in the rocks laid down in them.
There are still many awesome and often beautiful places on Earth it would be extraordinarily difficult or impossible to live.
