TOKYO (Reuters) - Highly radioactive water seeping into the ocean from Japan's crippled Fukushima nuclear plant is creating an "emergency". Contaminated groundwater has breached an underground barrier, is rising toward the surface and is exceeding legal limits of radioactive discharge. Countermeasures planned by Tokyo Electric Power Co are only a temporary solution.

Lead? Sand bags? Some kind of levee? Hop to it, Japan!!!
So why has Japan and Tepco recently been forthcoming about some of their ongoing problems ? They have had these problems for two years now. One possible reason, they are losing control and will have to evacuate soon. The ground water rising is causing the ground under the reactors to become unstable. And since the ground water is highly radioactive, they will not be able to walk through it safely. The ground will basically become radioactive mud.
Alternatively they are running out of temporary radioactive water storage tanks. So they will have to dump the contaminated water into the sea, which they have been doing anyway for two years. At least now that the radioactive sea contamination has become so obvious that they need another excuse to justify the sea contamination. A mysterious leak.
I believe TEPCO and the Japanese government have intended to flush radiation into the air and ocean in order to “clean” their country. They legalized the burning of radioactive debris in order to send radioactive materials into the air. They’ve been flushing the cores of the collapsed nuclear power plants into the ocean for years. They are just going to flush and burn to rid the country of as much radioactive waste as they can.
I agree that there has to be a strategic reason why they are making the flushing of wastes into the ocean an “emergency” now -they’ve been doing it for so long - this has to be a strategy.
Dissolution is the solution, apparently. We will see what Russia and China think about that. What will the US Oligarchs do ? More rounds of golf.
Oops. Dilution is the solution.
We can expect to see remakes of “Godzilla,” “Rodin,” and “Mothra” in theaters next year..
This case illustrate why the environazis should not be allowed to dictate where to build a reactor.
The engineers wanted it higher, and much further away from the ocean.
The Nazis won that political battle, now they have suddenly become silent.
good luck in finding any real-time satellite imagery of the sea water temps vicinity Japan and currents carrying this heated water through0ut the western pacific and beyond
if anyone can this, please post it
what I found was, curiously, blacked out around Japan

Mothra vs. Sharknado sounds like a winner to me.
Stan Deyo collects and analyzes sea surface temperature data on a daily basis to identify areas with higher probability of earthquake or volcanic activity. His maps are archived daily on his website.
Send it to the Senkaku Islands.
China would just use the water to make foods and other products to sell to us. Half the paint on products they sell
look and last like they were made out of water.....
Wider radioactive contamination = bad juju for the Nipponese who are a superstitious people
The solution to pollution is dilution.
That is the quote. Should have googled it. Thanks.
Thus far, the best source of information on nuclear and environmental events worldwide I have located is:
You may want to check there daily. The situation at Fukushima is critical now.
In addition. I highly recommend watching this video featuring Dr. Helen Caldicott:

Thanks for the ping!
People are calling this a series of human failures, but the reality is that extraordinary natural events overwhelmed the safeguards which had been built.
