Point made but our Tridentine Mass form of the Latin Rite does not allow female altar servers either.
True.
The Latin Rite was very nice, wasn't it? Now, it doesn't matter what language is spoken, the Mass can be said in the vernacular of any country/culture.
I suppose that's why so many of the Orthodox Churches have rejoined Rome. Latin was one of the original reasons for the schism.
We spent Christmas in Cairo one year. The Mass was in Arabic, Latin, French, English, German and English...bits and pieces. The Pater Noster was in Latin, as I recall. It was the midnight Mass and ended at 2:30 A.M.!! It was really quite beautiful and amazing.
We had asked our Arab taxi driver to wait for us, thinking it would only be an hour or so. I was SO glad that he HAD waited until the Mass ended.
