Grayson was “quickly” told by the House Intelligence Committee that the NSA information he was passing around was not declassified, and ” directed Grayson to cease distribution or discussion of those materials in the House, warning that he could face sanctions if he continued.” In early July, Grayson had staffers distribute to House members several slides published by the Guardian about NSA programs as part of Grayson’s efforts to trigger debate in Congress. But, according to one staff member, Grayson’s office was quickly told by the House Intelligence Committee that those slides were still classified, despite having been published and discussed in the media, and directed Grayson to cease distribution or discussion of those materials in the House, warning that he could face sanctions if he continued.-The Guardian Republican Congressman Tom Rooney (FL), who sits on the House Intelligence Committee took issue with Grayson poor judgment call of sharing leaked classified information about the NSA spy programs. Early Monday morning, Congressman Tom Rooney sent the Shark Tank a scathing email ripping Grayson’s motives as being selfish and solely for ”political expediency,” nothing more.

His brother Brian Rooney ran here in Michigan’s 7th district in 08. He self detonated when he went out fundraising with the Main St Republicans instead of going to the Right to Life Banquet.
Their uncle is Obama’s Ambassador to Ireland.
The problem is that neither of the intelligence oversight committees were actually doing their jobs. They were simply accepting the hogwash that Alexander and others in the security apparatus were feeding them without asking any real questions about what the NSA was actually doing. And even when they did, hacks like Clapper lied to them about it.
So now individual congressmen like Grayson (who I generally detest) and Griffith of VA-9 (who I know personally) are striking out on the own to get some answers after being stonewalled, and here we have losers like Rooney slapping them down for it.
Screw Rooney! If Congress had done its job in the first place, we wouldn't be where we are right now with an Orwellian security state in place.
Well we run the House intelligence oversight committee.
Dems run the Senate committee.
They won’t get the answers.
They are NOT CLEARED.
You don't see a problem here, when it's our own people doing the stonewalling?
If they really wanted to get to the bottom of it they wouldn't be grandstanding on the House floor and throwing tantrums.

What part of "they weren't doing their job in the first place" do you not understand? The game's changed now, and nobody trusts anything that the NSA and congressional leadership is saying. NOBODY!

You have no proof that what Snowden says of wholly true, and by the nature of intel work, you never will get proof.
It seems to me that this slow drip drip drip serves Obama in getting us to hate the intel services and OUR representatives.
None of it seems to stick to Obama.
Obama will be happy to address your concerns and dismantle the intel services on his way out the door so the next fellow won’t have those tools.(Us)
