It sure looks like that and it’s sad. I don’t have reason to doubt Mr. Zimmerman’s account to the police on how it went down, and he even generously waited until Trayvon was actually seizing at the gun before going to the shoot decision! Where are we, where our eyes have to be checked at the door as offensive weapons?

It may have, at one time — but given how the cops are acting nowadays I think even normal people are justified in not wanting to call cops.
