Chicago is a mess, but it’s still a travel hub and an economic center.
St. Louis actually has been rebounding for the last 5 to 10 years. New stuff going up all the time, interstates being updated, old empty neighborhoods have complete blocks of new homes/condos. Its not good everywhere, and some areas even the cops don’t go in alone, but the city is not next to follow Detroit.
