I actually am not sure how to handle a situation at our local high school. Our AD told me “half the school students did grass.” I, was amazed. In talking with my freshman daughter, she says she knows lots of freshman that smoked pot before football practice everyday - they will be sophomores soon.
My son is on the Varsity squad class of 2014 - started OL as a sophomore said lots of guys are smoking. He is a geek so is at his computer most of his off time and says if we complain about how much computer time he uses and he says well, I am not doing drugs.
I wonder if the increase in sports injuries in HS have anything to do with this.
I’m waiting for Jessie and Al to comment before I decide where I stand.

My understanding is that a 13 YO white kid refused to buy pot from a 15 YO black kid, and told the authorities about it. The white kid was then VICIOUSLY beaten, stomped, kicked and punched by three 15 YO black kids because he refused to buy their pot. I am truly amazed the child was not hospitalized after seeing the video or even killed.

This happened in St. Petersburg which aside from being God’s waiting room has a REALLY bad history of race relations. There is no way St. Pete police or Pinellis County sheriff touches the race angle with an eleven foot pole.

Thank you for that explanation. The comment about dogs and fleas struck me as terribly cold considering that we are talking about a 13 year old kid that was trying to do the right thing and was brutalized as a result.
His family should be filing a lawsuit over this, and I fear for his emotional and mental state after seeing that video. Truly horrifying.
Additionally, anyone else notice that the bus appeared to be full of kids that sat there filming this horror with their phones? What happened to helping fellow humans in need? Those kids and their parents should be ashamed.

I told my son when he was in High school that if he did drugs he wouldn’t have to worry about the police.
The he would tell me where he got the drugs if I had to beat it out of him and he and I would be taking a walk to that students home with a baseball bat and he assuredly would not be selling my son any more drugs.
If he wanted to be embarrassed and watch his dad go to jail to go ahead and do drugs, because that was what was going to happen. I watched him close also. He said I didn’t trust him and I informed him that trust was not a right that it had to be earned., he earned it.

I had to take pictures of a Park pavilion yesterday, for a caterer. The pavilion was not being ‘used’ for a function, but a grown white woman had two young girls seated at one of the picnic tables and loud black rap noise was blaring forth from a CD player. All three were repeating the words to the mental garbage. Is it any wonder the nation is dying? Foolishness is the hallmark of our era!
