And four of the sites ranked higher are large media outlets (FOX, WSJ, NY Post, WT) that are not “conservative” sites.

Pretty damn sad that FNC is #1. I don’t consider FNC any more conservative than I consider MSNBC to be credible.

How many members does FR have? Is that public knowledge?

I have learned that there are some pretty well known folks that contribute under pseudonyms.

But I don’t know any.

WorldNutDaily is ranked 7?!!

Dear Mr. Bennett,

Uh, just because the propagandist Mainstream Media of liberals and Leftists AND subversive collaborators within the U.S. Republican ranks have managed to make a mockery of WND (and the same of say Sarah Palin and FOX News), it is in my opinion a lame reason to disregard World NET Daily's contribution as a legit source of exposing THE Truth.

Have they gotten it wrong at times? Sure. But NO ONE is threatened and sabotaged more than WND. Exactly because they expose the dangerous and un-exposed revelations.

Frankly, I find little reason to deride and feed into the Propaganda Machine that has conditioned some to ridicule the credibility of WND.

WND and its investigations have ventured where few have gone -- unto the virtual bowels of the Satan's Boardroom. They have broken far more REAL stories of treachery, treason, and busted up plans to screw us with phony "news" than 99% of the aggregate "news" outlets and freedom sentinels out there. Of course the 98% of the Elite-Controlled "news" outlets discredit its "absurd claims."

A LITTLE respect, please for an org that sticks its neck out in the name of The Truth from an Aussie. Thanks.

IMO, it's the 10% of the show's conservatism on display that helps FOX maintain it's "conservative" rep.

Of "The Five", only Eric Bolling and Andrea Tantaros can be said to be a legit "Conservative." The others to various degrees (other than Beckel AND Bush sweetheart, Dana Perino, who is a Statist and social lib.)

Hannity IS more popular than given credit for; NOT as conservative as I'd like, BUT...miles ahead of fence-sitter, non-conservative and political mercenary, the fake, phony, fraud Bill "for-the-folks" O'Blowhard.

IMO his time-slot and moderate political views gives him a huge advantage in ratings.

Otherwise, who is a real "conservative" at FOX other than Laura Ingraham and Monica Crowley?

With all due respect, Greta appears to be far more intellectual honest, though at times wrong; Geraldo is a complete and utter fraud, liar, Machiavellian, and definition of narcissist AND opportunist.

I have some problems with this list.

IBD is light years more conservative than the WSJ.
Drudge Report is not a news site. He publishes headlines.

For that matter, FR isn’t a news site either. We republish and comment on existing news. But we have more fun than all the other sites combined!

It isn’t list a list of most conservative to least conservative.

It is a list of most popular to least popular, among conservatives.

Alexa lists sites by hit popularity. AFAIK, Alexa is completely non-partisan. They just count hits, that's all.

So who decided which web site would be included in this list? Alexa has some predefined categories, but conservative is not one of them. Did John Hawkins, author of the article, decide who would be on the list? If so, was he fair? How do we know?

Along with some other posters, I don't care what Alexa says, FR is number one in my book.

I see O’Reilly as a northeast Republican. He’s not a big-C Conservative, he’s a “big tent” Republican.

The man taught history for a few years in south Florida, and he studied it at Marist in the early 70s. Like Gingrich, I believe he understands where we’ve been and that overlooking historical connections is a regular and grave societal miscalculation, but I do firmly believe that his loyalties lie in his ratings and his income over adherence to historical truth or doctrine. He’ll often overlook historical connections to make a point or to push an agenda, and for that, I believe him to be dishonest.

True he knows what a lie is but becomes complicit in it by omission of facts..
He will never say anything against the Unions.. OR if he “MUST” he “SPINS” to their favor as much as possible..

“NO spin Zone”, is itself SPIN!...
American Unions are a poisonous economic and political virus in every way possible..
Driven by envy and greed..... and O’Really is a carrier and a vector for the disease..
Much like Romney and Santorum.. who are less poisonous.. but still vipers..

That’s VERY much a northeastern institution. I have uncles who still live in the United Socialist State of New Jersey who are so ingrained in the Union mentality that to speak of any other type of labor agreement is to evince pain.

My uncle retired here in Florida after 40+ years of union work, and he now sees the error of his ways, but unions are very much a large part of northeastern lore, legend, and life. To divest them of that is to rip them apart at their seams.

Lordy, you are either not paying attention, or just have an unusual idea of a 'real' conservative.

For the sake of definition, why don't you give me your idea of "conservative" at FOX News and I'll give you mine.

You, and many other FReepers would love to see FOX fold their tent....disgusting.

If by "folding their rent" you mean unloading pseudo-"conservatives" and instead replacing them with ROCK-SOLID ones, I fully support the notion. REAL conservative viewers don't have time to dilly-dally with and humor "Fair & Balanced" hosts and their guests for fear of offending their "moderate" audience.

So, if you would, please kindly name those whom you regard as FOX's "conservative" talking heads, and we can start clearing the air.

Thanks.

The gap in integrity and intellectual honesty between Geraldo and Greta is approximately 500,000 Light Years. Greta may be late, but will gnaw away at bullsh*t.

I will agree that Greta at least tries to be a journalist, but she’s most certainly wrong more than she’s right when it comes to conservative values.

I never claimed Greta was "conservative". But yes, she demonstrates actual journalism, and least is on the "right" side as often as Bill O'Reilly (which I realize isn't saying much.)

To: Tenacious 1; Tony Snow
When he was alive Tony Snow use to post all the time at FR. He invited a number of us to the Fox Studio in DC during a CPAC conference.

I took him up on the offer and had a wonderful afternoon chatting with him in his office Gave us a tour of the studio and I even sat in on one of his Vermont Teddy Bear ads.

He told me that going to FR was daily show prep for his radio show, and posted here during his show.

The link to his name was never taken down as you can see.

I disagree. It’s a list of web site and the number of hits they get according to Alexa. The hits could come from anywhere. And out of the thousands of web sites that could be considered conservative, who chose these 100? The author? If so, what makes him an expert.

Consider that conservative web sites unknown to him should have been included in the list.

I’m not saying the list is wrong. I’m saying it should be taken only as a general guide and may have many mistakes.
