Girl’s state of mind unknown. Possible she was emotionally attached to the perp and could have presented a problem if they tried to take him down and take her. We just don’t know.

I think he will pivot to the sequester and how republicans want to cut back LEA and then a quick pivot to show how no one needs any guns becuase the Feds will protect everyone.

Yup...those are considerations...doesn’t sound like it in this case..but stranger things have happened.
Good riddance to that evil vermin DiMaggio..thank God Hannah has been found safe. Tomorrow was the 15th anniversary of DiMaggio’s father’s suicide so it was crucial that Hannah was found before he could do any harm to her.
there was an anniversary day today that heightened it all..Fifteen years ago today, the perp’s father committed suicide and the idea is that this timeline activated this whole thing.
so FBI didn’t want to take chance he would suicide and kill the girl too.

I agree. I am so hoping she is totally innocent. I think I have heard of too many young people who are not. I cannot imagine the guilt if she had anything to do with it. She will be traumatized, regardless.
I pray the family is able to get through this.
Those stories usually involve a handsome “bad boy” boyfriend in his 20s whom the parents have forbidden the daughter to spend time with- not a scruffy 40 year old loser friend of dad’s.

my reluctance to believe early news reports is an indication of how disillusioned I have become, not only by what passes for journalism, but by the horrible influence the media has had on our young teens.
All that said, should probably just keep my thoughts to myself until the dust all settles down, by which time it won’t really matter much. (not that it did before, come to think about it?)
Kidnapping has always been something the FBI is involved in. I’m fine with whoever killed him, city, county, or FBI.
Just as I thought — the FBI refuses to give any details so they first can get their “story” straight.
