America opened the door for a lot of persecution happening in Iraq, Syria, Egypt and elsewhere. By all rights these people should be given asylum here anyway.

If only that were true. Obama is going to claim that the plight of the illegal aliens is a civil rights issue. He will use this opportunity to presssure Reps who will return from recess on September 9. There are efforts all over the country targeting Rep congressmen to vote for amnesty.
The Congressional Black Caucus says on its website under its Policy agenda that they support comprehensive immigration reform.
Marcia Fudge, the CBC Chairperson, states, "In the 21st Century, African Americans and other communities of color continue to be disproportionately and disparately impacted by poverty, environmental, justice and healthcare challenges.
"Clyburn told The Daily Caller that the CBC members didn’t talk about what measures could be taken to shield African-Americans from job competition by new immigrants.
“No, we didn’t discus anything like that,” he said, adding “we’re trying to find a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million [Latino illegal immigrants] who are here.”
