The plague of "victimhood" is a scourge on our culture. Trayvon, Rachel, Weiner, Spitzer, the 99%ers, Filner, OOOOprah, JayZ, Beyonce, (notice how they're ALL democRATS) are bunch of whining babies.

It's way past time to put an end to Jesse & Al and all the wannabees seeking to follow in their footsteps.

“Victimhood” carries with it the understanding that you are entitled to steal from others what you have not earned yourself. That is the whole reason to claim victimhood. To take what does not belong to you.

Further it is taken with malice against those who have done you no wrong.
If the black community wants to place blame. Place it squarely on those who proclaim single-parenthood the path to sainthood.

mediocrities who could not distinguish an hexameter from a metaphor write out banal phrases, randomly slice and dice the lines, and call it poetry

Nailed it! "A Rock, A River, A Tree" by Maya Angelou is not poetry but only deemed to be such due to white guilt.

The other day Richard Fernandez of Belmont Club marveled at the brazen shamelessness of our current compatriots, "One of the most awesome phrases in today’s news is Chris Brown’s invocation of “nonstop negativity” as the reason for his recent collapse at work. For minutes I was literally thunderstruck by the audacity of it and felt not a little envy. ...."

That also tied to VDH's theme here. If you don't own your failure, it is always 'some other(s)'s fault out of your control', then this is inevitable what we have come to.

It is very logical, if you are absolutely not at fault, then where does a person feel even any shame (or responsibility) remotely?

The guy recently at trial for enslaving three women for ten years, 'I am not a monster. I am sick.' In other words, the society in general failed him, and he's the suffering victim.
