In (partial) defense of the Missouri rodeo clown
The Washington Examiner ^ | August 13, 2013 | Byron York

Posted on 08/13/2013 5:46:06 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

The Missouri State Fair has banned for life a rodeo clown who wore a Barack Obama mask during a bull-riding competition and suggested that “Obama” might be run down by an angry bull. “Hey, I know I’m a clown,” the still-unidentified performer said. “He [Obama] is just running around acting like one. Doesn’t know he is one.” Many in the audience were amused; at least some were offended. The event was captured on home video, which quickly made the rounds of news reports.

In a press release Monday, the State Fair said, “the statements and actions Saturday night were inappropriate and not in keeping with the Fair’s standards. The Missouri State Fair apologizes for the unconscionable stunt.” The organization said it had decided “to permanently ban this rodeo clown from ever participating or performing at the Missouri State Fair again.”

The controversy over the incident seemed to have two parts. One was outrage in some quarters over the obvious disrespect and ridicule directed at the president. The other was outrage over the suggestion of violence toward Obama — in the form of an encounter with the bull — that was the premise of the act. This is the most complete video of the incident available; you can watch it to judge for yourself.

Of course the Missouri State Fair can do what it wants, but the lifetime ban seems excessive. Any president comes in for a fair amount of public mockery, and what happened at the State Fair does not seem worse than the mockery of the president that occurred — without consequences like lifetime bans — during George W. Bush’s years in the White House.....

They’re taking your free speech.

It’s nice that you don’t care. :)

This is absurd.

I think liberals stepped in it this time.

Picking on a token, rabble-rousing conservative, when he has a chance.

Then he gets FIRED.

This is just so wrong.

Another thing I wished I patronized so I could turn around and boycott! I do hope that Missourians turn their backs on the real klowns of the state fair.

Been to plenty of rodeos. Just one last month. And the guy that keeps things lively is the guy in the booth with the banter. And it is conservative, traditional, down-home American. And screw the guy that can make a racist interpretation out of it.

Obama is clearly, convincingly, demonstrably and certified an Anti-American. He is arguably a Marxist, based on his family, associations, and own writings.

So why do we have to scrape the shit off our boots, like he is some royal potentate? He's luck they don't put him in the bullpen.

A lot of fun was also had with Curious George the Chimp-President. Good God! That would have sent the planet of the apes wild into the brush!!

(I suspect some back channel communication reached her saying that she’s no longer welcome in Switzerland.)

The posts going around yesterday said the owner/designer of the handbag establishment was ALSO invited to Tina Turner's wedding.

Okra's mistake was trying to make herself relevant by accusing one of the 'little people' of creating a *racist* incident while being totally ignorant of the fact she was actually just crapping in the nest of the celebrity set.

Apparently, they didn't like the stench. LOL!

The event was captured on home video, which quickly made the rounds of news reports.

Unlike video the pimp and hoe being coached by ACORN on how to milk the system for public assistance and how to hide the fact that they sex trafficked in underage girls.

Unlike video of the underage girls being coached by Planned Parenthood on how to get an abortion without reporting a (statutory) rape to the authorities bringing public exposure to the abortion and crime.

Unlike the tape of a racist asking Planned Parenthood if a donation for abortions could be targeted specifically towards the elimination of black babies simply because they are black.

Funny how the media tries to pretend they are impartial in scandals and controversy.

Yep, "Chimpy McBushitler" was everywhere.

Mr. Obama knew of that crap AND SUPPORTED IT:

"Dear Shepard, I would like to thank you for using your talent in support of my campaign. The political messages involved in your work have encouraged Americans to believe they can help change the status quo. Your images have a profound effect on people, whether seen in a gallery or on a stop sign. I am privileged to be a part of your artwork and proud to have your support. I wish you continued success and creativity.

Sincerely, Barack Obama.'"

Same propagandist at work.

Rodeo clowns and announcers will now read The New Yorker to bring more sophistication to their humor.

It's nuanced.

That rodeo clown insulted clowns everywhere when he put on an Obama costume. Really low of him.

Perhaps The New Yorker wasn’t the best choice for an example of sophistication. lol
