CNN's Athena Jones investigates if Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is eligible to run for president. CNN says the "natural-born citizen" question is dogging Cruz. For the record, CNN said every constitutional law expert they interviewed for said Cruz is a natural-born citizen and eligible to be president.

The American Constitution does not operate by precedent. That’s the British Constitution.
The meaning of the U.S. Constitution is what was intended by those who wrote or amended it, not what was wished for by those who have twisted or disregarded it.
Cruz realizes it. In his last interview on the subject, he only said he was citizen at birth and then cut off talk about his eligibility only stating he would let others debate the issue.
The biggest and loudest fire will come from the Democrats if Cruz is nominated. The Hillary supporters along with the Main Stream Media will be out in force questioning Cruz’s eligibility just like the did with McCain, but had the Panama Canal zone and two US citizen parents.
I say Cruz opts out and stays the best senator from Texas and arguably the best senator in the United States for a long long time. Not really a bad choice.

Could you imagine the sh!t storm Cruz could bring down if he stood in from the cameras and said “Because of my father not being a Citizen upon my birth, I am NOT a N.B.C. able to run for office of the President....just like Obama”

For most of my life, I was under the impression that it meant “citizen at birth”—i.e., natural means “not naturalIZED.”
Bayard supports that understanding of the term.
If Soetoro WAS born in Hawaii, he would be a citizen at birth. If he was born outside the U.S., he never was and is not now a citizen, because under the law at the time his mother could not transmit citizenship by giving birth.
We should talk up Ted Cruz for months and months leading up to 2016, then turn around and run Mike Lee!

Instead of Saying “Just Like Obama”, He should instead sarcastically Thanks the Media for performing such a great job vetting candidates that run for president and with such a “great” Media there to help sniff out fradulent documents and inelegible candidates we Have been secure from having an ursurper from taking office and ruling by Fiat.....

I think he is a natural born citizen. He is because the law says he is. He is because the Constitution gives Congress the authority to make all necessary law in that area. As you can see from the following US Code, Cruz was automatically a US citizen at birth, that is, a natural born citizen under the law. As this article says, every constitutional scholar consulted says he is.
So, the confusion appears to be that most folks don’t consider the last line in Article 1, Section 8. “To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof. “
Sec. 320. [8 U.S.C. 1431] (a) A child born outside of the United States automatically becomes a citizen of the United States when all of the following conditions have been fulfilled:
(1) At least one parent of the child is a citizen of the United States, whether by birth or naturalization.
(2) The child is under the age of eighteen years.
(3) The child is residing in the United States in the legal and physical custody of the citizen parent pursuant to a lawful admission for permanent residence.

As if foreign born citizens could ever be President, Constitution forbids it, the requirement of Natural Born citizen specific for sitting President, as most learn in middle school civics.
Cruz stands up for Constitution in most matters but concerning his own blatant ineligibility plays coy and deliberately lies withholding the truth in the name of selfish power/control. Traitorous behavior. But the ruling class elites and propaganda press ministry could care less. In addition, how he actually became an American citizen, by his mother or being naturalized has yet to be determined.
I wonder if CNN put 1/2 this much time in determining if Obama was a Natural Born Citizen on their own initiative.
Anyone of German lineage can make a claim to German citizenship.
