Forget it, Jake. It’s Kansas City.

Yep, it is a shame. It’s a shame there are people in this world who don’t understand the value of an animal like that.

Of course that person very likely doesn’t place any value on human life either.

If in the wild and folks are going to eat it, okay. If the thing is tame and a lot of people are very partial to it, why just kill it for the fun of it.

There are people that just can’t resist destroying things other people value, simply because they can.

I am reminded of the lowlife that broke the bank window here in FL that looked like Mary. I am not one of those folks that took stock in such things, but it was a place where devoted Catholics went to meet and worship. Somebody just went and shot it out. Just maliciousness.

This makes me sick - a sweet animal not causing harm to anyone. Disgusting.

Maybe a cop thought it was a dog? /s

Moral of the story is to not give these animals 'national attention' in the first place!

What a senseless jerk! Why would you kill a defenseless and sweet creature like this, who never did you a day of harm? It wasn’t even a case of using her for food. I hope they catch the sicko who did this.

I knew as soon as I read the original article in the KC Star that they had placed crosshairs on this deer.

A century a go an act like this would have had the entire city enraged and seeking the head of the individual who did this cowardly act not because of the death of the deer but because blood had been shed by man on hollowed ground.

Truly we live in a less civilized age.

The articles says that officials may never know who killed the doe.

If the bullet is still lodged in the body of the doe, could they not do some forensics on the bullet? Or would they need a weapon to try and find a match with it?

It might have been a heartless punk that did it. But given Giggles’ fate, I wouldn’t be surprised if some government agency weren’t behind it, too.

What low life scum shot the doe? Or did the government send in a SWAT team ?

Hope the dirt bag brags about having done this, to the wrong person. Hopefully then that person will give this POS a good crack in the grill for it.

It’s a sad commentary on the human condition that someone got a perverse kick from the senseless killing of that harmless animal. A**holes.

Waste of meat.
Private property (was it posted?).
Not very sporting.

But still, it was just a deer. Grow up people.
