The National Security Agency has broken privacy rules or overstepped its legal authority thousands of times each year since Congress granted the agency broad new powers in 2008, according to an internal audit and other top-secret documents.

Most of the infractions involve unauthorized surveillance of Americans or foreign intelligence targets in the United States, both of which are restricted by statute and executive order. They range from significant violations of law to typographical errors that resulted in unintended interception of U.S. e-mails and telephone calls.

And will anyone at the NSA be held responsible?

But in the meantime Snowden is a culprit and they want to hunt him down at any means and prosecuted? (or should it be persecuted)

Answer: No, it would be mean to punish them for just following orders.

Both, probably. You'll also note that Obama referred to him in the past-tense fairly recently… and we already know that he wields the power to assassinate people at his own discretion.

It is nice to see that Democratic Party spokewoman Senator Dianne Feinstein (Chair of Senate Intelligence Committee) is making back-pedaling quotes, that they need to do more to exert oversight over the NSA.

The Executive Branch is looking corrupt, contemptuous of the people of this Country and our laws. This is happening in one branch of government after another.

It is time that Republican politicians connected the dots for the low information voters and made it the basis of a sweep the Democrats out of office as they will harm you campaign.
