Those polka enthusiasts are armed and dangerous!!!
Uncle Buck, Stripes, Planes, Trains and Automobiles and Spaceballs unfunny?
Be assured that I won't ever respond to you again.
Even in a bar...
ESPECIALLY in a bar.
Lighten up, this is the FR. You are taking this far too personally. My opinion.
By all accounts this is a pretty nice bar with fun music and decor, although it is located in a marginal area. The owner was trying to bring the area up with his business, and the bar is popular with its patrons.
Apparently he was robbed a couple of years ago, so he got a gun and a concealed carry permit. Laws have changed in Wisconsin since his first robbery. This time he stood his ground.
According to the gal who knows him (she used to work there) the robbers this time tried to knock it over with FAKE guns. She was pretty shaken up about all of this. She quit working there after the first robbery.
I heard a lot about this on various local talk shows yesterday, and everybody was on the bar owner/tender’s side. There were no tears shed for the robbers. None.
If you were trying to be humorous...or entertaining...you failed.
Better luck next time.
Shaken up? That is an understatement. I don't blame her for leaving. Robberies are SO personal, so invasive.
The bar is located in a "marginal area"? That sounds precarious right there. Marginal areas = bars, bums, unpicked up trash and worst of all, marginal people.
I'm GLAD that the bar owner stood his ground! It's a tough enough business without having to deal with robbers. Kudos to him.
The robbers used FAKE guns? Lord have mercy, they SHOULD change jobs and do something they might be good at. FAKE guns? Why would they do that? ANYone might turn around and face them with REAL guns and they would be stuck holding FAKE guns. Geezlaweez.
Stripes was funny, but Candy was a minor character. The other movies were UNFUNNY!!!!
Was it polka that made Milwaukee famous? Who knew? (In any case, it wasn’t what made a fool out of me!)
