Duck Dynasty Star Kicked Out of Trump Hotel

Duck Dynasty star Jase Robertson was kicked out of New York City's Trump International Hotel after a staff member apparently thought he was homeless. Robertson laughed it off and said he was the victim of "facial profiling."

Robertson and other members of his family were in New York City promoting the fourth season of their hit A&E reality show. The network put the family up in the swanky hotel across from Central Park.

Apparently one Trump International Hotel staff member was not accustomed to seeing a fully bearded guest wearing camouflage pants.

"I asked them where the bathroom was and he said, 'Right this way, sir,'" Robertson told the hosts of the television show 'Live with Kelly and Michael.' "He said, 'Right this way, sir.' He walked me outside, pointed down the road and said, 'Good luck.'"

The hosts appeared stunned by the story - but Robertson smiled and said he took it in stride.

"I think it was a facial profiling deal," he said.

Robertson's brother, Al, told Fox News the family is getting a good laugh out of the case of mistaken identity.

"He assumed Jase was some homeless guy," he said. "This is not our first rodeo -- which is another reason I stay beardless."

Ironically, it's not the first time the men of the Louisiana family have been mistaken for homeless people.

"One time, we were in New York City and people put money in Willie's coffee cup," he said. "Dad was speaking at a church once and one of the members showed him where the homeless shelter was."

The Robertsons said they were "absolutely not offended" by the incident and said they love staying at Trump Hotel.

"We were laughing -- wait until the Donald hears about this," he said.

And for what it's worth, they hope the staff member doesn't get in trouble.

"He was just as nice as he could be -- escorting Jase to the park," Al said. "And honestly, if I was in his shoes -- I'd have done the same thing."

Reminds me of a very rich farmer who went into a BMW dealer ship in his bib overalls too buy a car.

To their loss he was shown the door. Then went across the street and cashed out another make and model.

Such a shame taking him to the park when he was obviously unarmed (being NYC) and could not have shot any squirrels.

I'm sure he could have easily made a snare or two.

Or he could have walked over to the river, made a rope from his hair (and beard), and lassoed himself a sea turtle. ;-)

Very Christlike reaction.

Good for Jase.

“Facial profiling”—that one was worthy of Will Rogers or Mark Twain.

Wonder what Trump’s reaction was?

The “Duck Dynasty” cretins are some of the most disgusting people on the planet. I escort any of them out of my business as well.

Will Holder or Bloomberg investigate this civil rights violation? Where is the Donald on this matter?

The majority of people who look like that are homeless and/or mentally disturbed. So the guy at Trump International made a wise decision.

Well Chief I guess that's your right isn't it? Several things though although long, their beards are combed out. Generally the guys are clean and bathed unless coming off a hunt as THEY ARE BUSINESSMEN themselves likely worth much more then you as well as your business.

I grew my beard first time with permission of my division officer in 1977 on a MED Cruise. I briefly shaved it for T.A.D. to shipyards Fire Dept so my OBA would seal good. I grew it again and shaved it in 1979 for a 6 month stint I volunteered for in the shipyard FD. I was a short timer after six months and went back to division and again grew it back.

Since 1980 my EAOS I have gone beardless twice once for the Army guards for a year hitch and another for what I knew was a short term job. Most of my 56 years on earth have been non shaving ones.

In the Navy most Chiefs I worked under had beards as did a number of officers usually from Commander on down. You could tell the difference between a Scrounge, a No Load who liked 4.0 uniforms and doing no work, and worker by looking at them at Muster on Station then at Liberty call time. The Scrounge came to work filthy and unbathed, the 4.0 no load came in all clean pressed work {dungarees} uniform shinned shoes and left the shop at liberty call the same as they came in, the ones who did the work came to Muster clean uniform but maybe not in a 4.0 uniform and were dirty at the end of the work day.

If a person interacting with customers within about a minute can't tell if a person is homeless, vagrant, or simply bearded and a customer, then do you really want them working for you? Seriously about 60 seconds conversation and many wiffs of the air around them is the determining factor. All of the men including the are worth millions of dollars yes even the 30 year retired Army Vet uncle.

People in New York need to get out more.

They'll never feel the need...after all, they ARE the "Center of the Universe".

To each his/her own. I’ve never met any of the Robinson clan but I suspect
if you were around them for a short time you’d have a different opinion.

Exactly. This is how middle America behaves, not like elitist jerks like Oprah. The Robertsons are real people. Oprah Windrey is a class A snob, like her hero “president”.

“The “Duck Dynasty” cretins are some of the most disgusting people on the planet.”

Common sentiment among some Thurston Howell III snotty county-club couples and their younger age adult children I am unfortunately acquainted with.

Really not very surprising...

I'm sure the share audience of people in Manhattan watching some bearded redneck family, bible loving, family oriented, clean and decent, with no homo's, whores or gender benders is about .05 %

So they are totally unknown...

Put these folks in any flyover town and it would be a far different story...
