If the government is now admitting Area 51, it can
only mean they have another secret base somewhere else.

Probably the moon.

So... anything new here?

The conspiracies will have to be updated, but that’s the only new thing I anticipate from this.

In 2011 Annie Jacobsen wrote a book entitled: Area 51. It's the most reasonable book on the place I've read. No spoilers, but she offers a unique and plausible explanation for the alien space craft incident.

They’ve probably built some huge hangers on base so they can test everything in complete secrecy.

You know it.

It's a fact that our government is always in possession of fully developed technologies that are decades ahead of what the public knows about.

My guess is, they've now developed craft that are capable of transiting from the ground to outer space without the need of rockets, and that's the real reason they've abandoned the manned space program. Black triangles, anyone?

If quix were here, we’d hear about his relative who worked with alien spaceships at Area 51.

Hell, look at the SR-71. Given the history of human technological development, it shouldn’t even exist for another 50 years minimum.

It was conceptualized and brought to reality just over 50 years after the invention of heavier than air powered flight?

You, and everybody else, would give their eyeteeth to be able to walk through the most secret industrial, technological, and military labs to see the stuff they are working on. :)

Not me.

I don’t know, and I don’t want to know.

Makes sense.

They won’t kill you to keep you quiet, if you honestly don’t know.

I had a supervisor some years ago who was ex air force radar engineer. He got a job with a private contractor doing radar operations. He would go to the air port in Vegas get on a private jet with the windows blacked out and get drop off with the others at an air base in the middle of the desert. He would be driven half an hour away from the air strip to a radar station in the middle of know where and told to run his radar and mark down anything he saw! they would pick him up and fly him home. That’s is all he ever saw! He speculated that it was around the time they we’re testing f-117. But that was just speculation he could not say for sure! Just in case the NSA is snooping!

It's all boring and hard work (but with big budgets).

Not glamorous except when viewed from afar (more fun than the average work site though).
