The Obama administration later acknowledged that reality.
But White House officials initially maintained that the deaths of four Americans and the firebomb attack on the State Department mission was the result of a spontaneous protest against a low-budget YouTube film that was critical of the Muslim prophet Muhammad.
'Two days after this attack,' said Rep. Adam Kinzinger, 'we were in a briefing with Hillary Clinton and she screamed at a member of Congress who’d dare suggest that this was a terrorist attack.'
'Now we find out that while it was happening, they knew it was a terrorist attack. These are answers that we're going to get to the bottom of.'

Why can't we have a discussion on a topic (here being Benghazi) without bringing up something else (here amnesty)?
If you believe that amnesty is the most important subject, then post articles about it.
The sentiment that everything except our "favorite outrage" is somehow just a diversion grows increasingly tiresome and basically useless.
The Benghazi issue is worthy of investigation and discussion, dare I say prosecution but early disclosure plays to Hillary’s advantage since it won’t interrupt the election campaign if its all on the table soon.
Plus this issue can’t become a situation where we end up cheering RINO congressmen and senators on for bringing it up.
They elected Boehner as their leader and are not real conservatives for the most part (over 90 percent).
I’m sorry for dropping in on this discussion but honestly the world’s economies are going down including ours and both major parties will end up jointly doing bad things from raising taxes to cutting spending to increasing debt ceilings and creating international government in the end....
The Benghazi thing illustrates the corruption of our government but its corruption is a bipartisan thing.
Both major parties including the one pointing fingers over the Benghazi scandal are equally corrupt.
You go to war with the army you have; not the army you wish you had.
Who is the congressman? Why isn’t he on all the talk shows getting the story out?
It's up to us and alternative media to keep Benghazi on the table from now until election day.
The only people who will take it off the table are the folks in the government run media. Screw them. Few people trust the government run media anyway.
It's appropriate to Investigate, disclose and discuss early and often. That's what we should do.
I know klintoon is a fat sow...but “explode”? The Clown Princess is thin-skinned like most of the aristocrats so the congressman should attack and ridicule her.
Yeah, I don't get it. I don't tolerate "bosses" not being civil, and I SURE wouldn't tolerate a governmental official not being civil, and acting as if he/she were royalty. Don't care if it would get me fired, etc. There are certain things that you cannot tolerate, and this sort of behavior is one.
I think I might have ripped her a new one, and then went to what passes for the press and let them know exactly what happened, what she said, etc. People need to know how their governmental officials behave and what they do. [... Might have gotten me killed, since it is the Hitlery....]
